No. But you have done something much worse. Bringing IRL Religions as a discussion point into the World of Warcraft forums to discuss and attempt to change fictional religions to
You explicity asked for a settings flip switch to change fictional religion symbols into real-life religion symbols.
That’s even worse than just defaming religions in a post (something I also didn’t do, despite your accusation).
Vol’dun is middle eastern/north african and it has it’s own religious interpretation of the nomadic tribes, like the vulpera etc etc. Religion is everywhere of you look.
It’s not a switch. It is a real life religious symbol, and I asked for it to become either fictional, or include other religions too. This is not against the rules, and you need to improve your english comprehension skills.
If humans are christians and trolls believe in Lwa, that would make them caricatures depcited in a negative way, because trolls are ugly/uncivilised.
It’s also what I don’t like about MoP, where asians are depicted as Kung fu Pandas
I liked it. Now it is time to like this. I have never heard of such a wonderful masterpiece before. It gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. And the soprano girl on the left…
I don’t think that’s true. If you look at which characters in wow actually wear middle eastern clothing, it’s clear where they located them. I don’t think just a moon is enough, since with stormwind it’s the main theme. However, if they make Elves more middle eastern to balance out the stormwind stuff, it would probably be a positive. Right now though, elves seem to be inspired by pagan tribes living in forests
There are many races in wow that wear Middle Eastern clothes, likewise Greek, and East Asian
I did mention each race has more than one inspirations. Sometimes Night elves are shown dressed in Asian clothing during lunar festival, other times they are shown on Ancient/Classical Greek clothing.
Blood elves are also like that. Sometimes shown in Celtic Farstrider clothing, other times shown in middle eastern belly dancing outfits and golden jewelry.
Each race has more than one inspirations. So to argue blood elves are middle eastern and that’s it, is not correct.
But it would be an immense insult to the already butchered Lore of the franchise.
“Yeah sure, let us re-write and retcon old lore into oblivion, just so that 1 guy on the forums from a different religion is happy. Let us ignore all the other people we would hurt along the way”

It’s an obvious caricature in the warcraft universe. Blizzard brought it up intentionally in the past, it’s not just something random
