Remember the weirdos saying you wouldnt get into groups with the wrong covenant?

So far noone asked me what covenant I am. I have heard ZERO reports of people getting rejected because of the wrong covenant.

Few months ago there was an ARMY of angry minmaxers telling people how having permanent covenant choices would RUIN the game.

1000 angry nerds vs. a few of us who said it wasnt a big deal. In the end Blizzard didn’t cave in and we were right. No big deal.

It’s so funny, few months ago there were 30 threads an hour telling us how locked covenants would ruin the game.
When SL launched I have seen ZERO threads about this issue. No threads at all, totally unheard of.

Next time you want to complain, think before you do it.

For example they said that some groups would only accept venthyr players to make skips with door of shadows. Anyone heard of any groups like this since launch?

Yeah. Coz they nerfed covenants.

They did, they nerfed them hard. And it’ll happen, just give it time.

Wait till there’s an addon that pulls your covenant information from the Armory and displays it in the LFG tool.

They didn’t nerf Door of Shadows which would be required to do skips in m+ according to the weirdos.

Not sure it matters for 8’s. I’ve seen specific covenants asked for in certain dungeons though. Sanguine depths needing venthyr for example.

It got proven that it actually didn’t work as a skip. Due to u still pulled aggro in its animation :rofl:

On a serious note:

Thats because statistics prove that the vast majority of people doing keys all picked their BiS covenant therefore it’s never needed enforcing.

I’ve yet to invite a class without automatically knowing the covenant they’ve chosen lmao.

The opinons in this topic were so unified we all picked our covenant based on the statistics. So we no blizzard 110% failed their intentions with this

its often reflected in the damage meter though

It can technically be checked already if the person uses covenant specific conduits. I hope this doesn’t go even furher. It would be great if we would be more people in this game again and less numbers.

Up to m+ 15 it won’t matter anymore once people have their gear set up.

Calling people nerds and weirdos when the OP plays wow and is one of the club so ironic .

On topic who cares really you are not doing high enough to see the need for them.

Covenants got reduced to the point where they exist but don’t really matter tho

There’s plenty of people in the game. They are in guilds and communities. You want to be a person and play with people, join one or more of those. If you choose to partake in the act of pugging and you use the LFG tool, you are a number and nothing else. That number might be your ilvl, covenant, class, spec, max dps, achievement progress… But you are just a number to the group leader and everyone in the group, a number used by them to get whatever reward THEY want and they don’t care about you or ypur reward, because to be honest, why should they? There is nothing that will ever change that short of removing the LFG tool from the game.

You don’t like it, you wanna be a person and not a number? Don’t pug. It’s your choice. If you choose to play in the pug world, you need to accept how the pug world works.

The covenant ability effect scales with item level and they nerfed them super hard prior to release. They did the same with conduits as well.

And we’re in the early phase of the expansion with people barely having much items.

It’ll get worse.

As you go ahead higher and higher, we’ll see how your covenant will affect your performance.

You might not have issues when joining the groups, but you’ll be replaced when your damage isn’t up to par.

Nice effort though. It proves you’re clueless alright. But at least you tried acting superior to all.

They do in high keys especially in SD were you need a player who is a vamp .
It wount matter to you pushing 3/4s.

Good advice I guess. I am in a good guild and I’m doing just fine, don’t worry. I don’t have the illusion that the guild master doesn’t check my numbers though. What I try to say is, the numbers are fine if not overdone. I mean my guild does not want to carry people and I personally don’t wanna be carried or carry others all the time either.

On the other hand I can name you plenty of examples what people do to push their numbers. Sadly the question seems not to be: “How can I help my group or my raid best?” For some people it’s more: “How can I push my numbers? I don’t care if it’s suboptimal for my group or raid.”

They nerfed all covenants so obviously it’s less an issue but I’ve already seen a handful of groups declining anyone not with the correct covenant to do specific mythic dungeons, like a +15 HoA asking for a venthyr which kinda makes sense.

Why would I ask you, if i can just open raider io?

It’s happened. I’ve seen requirements for certain class/covenant combos; being ignorant to it doesn’t mean it’s not there.

I’ve never seen a lion, does that mean lions don’t exist?

If you want to be tryhard then sure you can argue that it matters
