Removal of the debuff limit will have so many ripple effects and will require additional changes to the game in order to balance it out. Bosses in vanilla are already too easy and now they are going to be significantly more weaker and die faster due to the extra debuffs players can apply. This requires the raids to be buffed in order to tune it as they currently are.
With no buff caps, players will be able to get many more buffs and consumables than they currently get, which makes content even more easier. It also encourage players to do bunch of additional grind to get these consumables and will have to store bunch of more consumables in their much more restricted bags.
Removal of the buff limit completely alters the healer balance. Resto druids will now freely be able to use Rejuvenation and Regrowth in fully buffed raids. I understand the resto druids are weak compared to other healers in vanilla, but this change will introduce much more extra healing (especially aoe healing) to the raid. Priests are now going to be able to use Renew and PWS without any restrictions. Priests are already very powerful and they now will be even more powerful. Druid / Priest HoT changes will introduce so much extra healing bloat, making the content even less threatening to clear. Holy paladins and resto shamans will also be comparatively weaker as a result.
These changes are not good changes for healers either. The number of healers in the raid can potentially be reduced by 1-2 due to the extra healing that is brought to the raid. People will need less healers and bring more dps as a result. Which will make boss fights even shorter.
Contrary to what most people believe, these changes will not increase the spec representation of the underpowered specs such as shadow priests. We are still going to see 17 warriors per raid but everything will die faster. These changes are purely negative.
Blizzard needs to make so many additional changes to the game to accommodate it with the no buff/debuff limits. But then the game will just be a diet version of SoD. People who want to play on these realms want to play it because they want to play on regular fresh era servers and not SoD.
Please revert the changes on the buff/debuff limits to preserve the balance of the game. If not, additional tweaks on the raids and on the classes (espacially healers) is required if you want to preserve the current tuning of the raids as they currently are. Thank you.

I do not fully understand the consequences but I feel this is not Classic anymore.

I’m fine with it being easier. Player quality will be an absolute dumpster fire with the GDKP ban. So at least content difficulty will be scaled back to a level to match the player base.

debuff limit removal does not really change things at all, at best we’ll be collectively do 200 more dps per fight
with that being said i dont like this idea that blizz can just create changes to appease forum whiners
this makes classic even easier than it was. I have to say that classic requires overall game difficulty increase (hp dmg scale, some new boss abilities) to make it a bit more chalenging.

Pandora’s box is opened , probably going to be trash SoD like experience…new “QoL” changes inc.

i want to use serpent sting on my hunter so no, lets not revert it.
Note though that there will still be only one Rejuv on each player. They did not change it as SoD. But still PW:S has 0.1 healing coeff. It scales really bad with healing power and costs a good amount of mana.
To understand how underwhelming PW:S is in classic, if you have 1000 healing power, your shield gains… 100 absorb. Peanuts.
but we want pandoras box to be open, those who like classic “no changes” can go era. we played classic back in 2019 witout changes and now we want it with some changes.

Also can please the Era whiners stop trying to ruin every topic with their cries? Please.

You are part of quantity crew, not quality…appealing to masses(valets) never brought any good. It’s going to be interesting watching Classic morphing into trash content.

this fresh server is for ERA players not retail tourists. Funny how a game version which is still popular after 20 years somehow needs to be “fixed”

imo these changes are only to attract more retail players.
at the end of the day people who want to play vanilla for vanilla are still going to be playing and paying for sub regardless of the changes they make to the game, because whats the alternative? stop playing? our opinions dont matter

There is no logic to what you are saying now. They don’t want retail players to go to the anniversary server (this is a special kind of server btw) since it is a new xpac now, they spent a lot of money producing it and they would HATE to see people go back to earlier versions.
please, realize. Anniversary is not the server you love to play. It is something else. There is no need to spend your time and feel iffy for something that is not for you. Play your game in the servers you prefer (Era, cata, sod, anniversary, retail, hardcore). There are things for everyone.

no, there is no logic to what you’re saying. there’s no OG vanilla realm, era has already had a plethora of changes and many of them came during/after/because of sod. vanilla isn’t as profitable as #changes and anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together and blizzard themselves know it. this is literally a basic concept in business. new products make hype and it sells.

If there is NO og vanilla and you only want to play this version, then obviously you need to move on with something else. And obviously you have never worked in product development and how much it costs, but we digress. What is important here is that this game is not for you any more :\

thats part of the problem. the game is for me, because theres nowhere else to go, and thats how they hold 2 different audiences with minimal expenses
