What will keep players for using addons for this?
Itâs not hard for an addon to add a score to gear depending where it drops and then just demand you use this addon to join.
Dont think Blizzard can do much about human nature, no matter how stupid it is.

community council should pass that on. that will only get blizzâs attention. might be the only best way for communication for eu.

That feature was introduced to make the community think it had any saying. Well, obviously it hasnât. Like none.
There has been, is, and always will be only ONE deciding factor in any changes made or action taken by Blizz: whether or not it will bring more profit. The only thing they do pay attention to is not exaggerating too much so that even the Blizz simps are gonna then jump ship (and Iâm not even so sure about that either seeing the last 3 years)

yeah its definitely because theyre bad and not at all because gearscore is flawed asf
i would rather inv a 4k gs tank in my grp than a 3.5k anime lover cringelord that likes to do a 5 min pause after every pull.
GS will be trough all WOTLK, GDKPs will too (im against gdkp 
) and theres nothing you can do about it and neither will mr blizard.

Gearscore is just a lazy way for people to fill a group with âgeared peopleâ without having to look at everyoneâs gear individually.

Many people kept to their guilds.
But people who relied on pugs would boost gearscore all the time by equipping higher ilvl stuff that wasnât even for their class/spec to get an invite, then just equip their real gear in raid.

Itâs a worthless arbitrary metric, which tells you nothing relevant about the playerâs actual skill and incentivised the âooh shinyâ philosophy of contesting loot, which can be quite problematic when you join a guild.
youâre talking as if everyone has 1000 extra gearscore in their bags just sitting around. if you think even 10% of the playerbase does this then youâre literally deranged.
youâre just making stuff up in your head and then actually believing it to push the âgearscore badâ agenda

It was as a matter of fact quite common back then, and I imagine it will be quite common again if GS becomes as big of a thing as back then.

You can buy up to 3,8k with the ah. Maybe even more. The only way to know if someone is âwellâ is to have played with them before.

Your narcissistic attempt to insult doesnât bite, buddy. You can undermine my perception of reality as much as you prefer, but Iâve been around long enough to witness how Gearscore was used back then, and then now.
So unless you benefit from the gatekeeping and egostroke gearscore brings, I see no reason why you would get so defensive.
