Remove rated Solo Shuffle would drastically improve PVP

I did some fun 3s today with ppl I found from lfg and added to play more at some point. Enjoyed my time more than ive had in entire expansion with anything in ss. Game is not built to be played with random comps and especially this participation based system cant handle modes dividing from each others playerbase makes ss iteration really awkward design wise and frankly horrible idea as it is.

Imagine the affli lobby example where you got palas, hunters, mages, druids spam blind, scatter, traps, polys, clones all game and then imagine you would spend 6 rounds with the same people after witness the grief few rounds from your own team? Or some melee chasing enemy around pillar whole game when your playing destro and would want to cast on something once in a while. Aint nobody who will enjoy their time with this. :dracthyr_lulmao:

Literally what I’ve been telling every single healer player on this forum. You play with normal premade people = super chill and fun. Feels like the instant queues in Shuffle are addicting people like drugs to keep quing and keep suffering xD

Yes but we are just 2 out of many people. Whether we like it or not, pvp in this game thrives on casuals more than anything atm. Most people just wanna hit the que button and play. Maybe 3s is much better, but like i said, most casual people do not sit lfg for an hour only to sit lfg again after 1 loss. I for example would instantly quit if i had to do that again.

Removing the only solo rated option would hurt this game even more.

You don’t need to sit LFG as a healer. It takes next to no time to start playing, literally everybody needs a healer.

Of course if you’re playing some B or C tier spec like Holy priest you or caster Mistweaver you will not have that, but overall most healer specs are completely playable even if Resto druid is better than all of them, Hpal / Rsham / Disc / Fistweaver and even Prevoker are overall solid for most comps

But it’s about even trying though. A lot of healers are addicted to instant queues in Shuffle and don’t realize there’s a more chill alternative

They were never meant to separate soloq and arena, what i said and how its done on priva and literally every other game than retail wow apprently these soloq options are not separated from rest of the playerbase.

For participation based system it doesnt need explanation why its bad if all of games playerbase are not in same place.

I were one of the people asking for soloq for years. No one would just guessed that they would go entirely rogue with the design or separate it from arenas which makes no sense on system entirely based on the ammount of people playing.

By not dividing playerbase they would had benefit all, instead currently it benefits no one, not really atleast as none put value on it. They also iterated it on a way that benefit heals the least who will cause of it slowly kill the mode by not playing it for obvious reason, and were end up with a useless mode with long ques that also continue dividing playerbase. No one won on this scenario, everyone lost.

Eh.

Very chill.

Build your own group, be in charge. I rarely join anyone elses groups, I dont trust other peoples judgement over my own. Its rarely paid out so I continue build my own groups, I listen people but I rather build the comp myself.

I think I was specific enough xD

This ^

think as Holy your best bets are like Ret / Hunter, DK / Hunter, Rogue Mage, Feral Mage, Feral Hunter. Those are also the best comps for Disc, listed them randomly and not in good to better or anything

No. RSS is the best thing they did for PvP,what they need to do is reduce

  1. Reduce the number of rounds from 6 to 4
    Or
  2. Reduce the number of players from 3 to 2
    Or
  3. Remove the need for a healer for queues to pop
    Or
  4. Make it 1 tank 2 dps like in Shadowland prepatch, queues were popping ,players were playing

This will make rating gains worse, rating losses worse, and less time played vs more time waiting

Makes little sense with a healer

Takes away all meaning from it being a “rated bracket”. DPS only games are toxic, end fast and involve 0 skill and just mashing your keyboard till you or someone else dies. Queue one skirmish and say you became a better player after it

Same as above, braindead 15 second games where everyone bashes their keyboards, terrible take

It worked perfectly in Shadowlands pre patch, queues were popping, players were playing the game, which is what is all about
Now? You sit in long queue wasting time ,then end up in games with leavers and if the game doesnt close is very likely to be a 3/3
Regardless of the opinions of the few, Blizz introduced SS due to increased solo playing behaviors of people which is a consequence of toxicity.
This trend will only go forward and not backwards. If anything,I suspect all organized activities will soon be extinct.
Delves, AI dungeons and Solo shuffle , really shows the direction WoW is going and that people have had enough of elitism and their game play depending on somebodys judgement to invite them in a grp or not.
Which is not so good for an mmo but these are the times

Facts. Partly why I hate solo shuffle. I just like it because of the quick honor cap in vaults.

You mean Dragonflight prepatch. When Shuffle wasn’t a rated bracket, and a brawl instead.

You have no idea how much difference there is by something with MMR and ratings / rewards tied to it, and a simple brawl for fun. I can also queue Arathi Basin Blizzard thingy where the snow and mist doesn’t show anybody, yeah sure that’s fun, win or lose theres no ratings involved.

Just dont play shuffle if you dislike it so much? Why try to take it away from people that do prefer it? I dont understand.

The issue is that you have to cap 5000 honor. And it’s extremely slow in 3s.

Luckily PvP will be gone from Vault next xpac and we will just get more conquest cap weekly. I think it’s better. My question is though where are we going to get sets from? Only catalyst? Or are they going to change their distribution? Copium: maybe we get separate PvP sets?

It was rated. I got my druid to 1.8 when it was broken with venthyr talents lol
I got also mount from capping 100%

It is dividing playerbase. Cannot say it more clear than that. The iteration of ss is dividing playerbase and wow rated system is based entirely on participation. Imagine if they did soloq like literally in every other game or in privas where all goes in same place, how cool would that be. Think for iteration of system where you dont have 4 different modes splitting playerbase when you have rated system that is built entirely around participation.

What If I told u ppl defending sshuffle r doing this cause it is the only bracket they got desired rating in(not because they deserve ofcourse)…cba the only thing shuffle did was taking whole lot of ppl from 2s and 3s…aswell as creating whole bunch of ppl who got their first 2k while being stuck at 1500 all previous seasons…made 2s even more dead bracket…

I decided to try healer in shuffle first time ever in Df season 2 and stuck at 1400-1500 with resto shaman, ofc I didnt get used to my buttons and often getting precog I didnt know where to spend it efficiently. Then tired of being eternally stuck at 1400 I did 2s with my friend who plays kinda at the same lvl as me. we were affli /rsham and it was super easy 1800 in like 30 games mabe less. But then coming back to shuffle I still couldnt climb. Aint no way I see 2s as bracket harder than shuffle. Plus why should I be dependant on some people if I want to play as much as I want and not a game longer and rss is perfect solo rated mode. Haters gonna hate, but rss will be even more popular and I bet will become standard mode at some point.

I regret ever asking for it. It’s abysmal, and it’s just made the other brackets even less active. And it’s not because SS is better, it’s because it’s just more convenient to hit queue and get grouped with 6 other people.

The whispers I’ve received in SS is unhinged. And it reminds me why I stay away from playing with randoms.
