I think it’s time to accept that even outside of no vendors, tbh gear, pve’ing all night for a bit of PvP is nothing compared to the horrendous class design.
I fought a fury warrior today, and actually beat him several times and farmed my CtA Drustvar off him getting 7 kills. However the frustration of how drastically I had to outplay him because he can just self heal was truly frustrating.
Why do so many classes have self healing off damage, massive absorbs, and life saving mechanics (looking at you temp shield, blazing speed thing mages).
DH and DK are just ridiculous to play against, out playing them for them to have all of two seconds on you and outheal everything you done over the previous 15 seconds. It’s madness.
Why not make healers heal more and damage less… So things can go back to how they used to be. Damage dealers do damage and healers heal.
Really blizz need to start making any self heals have much bigger cool downs or make the heals on kills, like it is for warrior, or heals that proc off kills, within reason though, because DH can tank 5 players if not cc’d and if he has 5 additional mobs on him and kills them with his default AoE in st rotation he can heal like lay on hands and grab the next pack and repeat.
Remove self heals with the way they are now, they simply are not needed in the fashion they are currently implemented.

Well to be fair… If you have your pet on him he can heal off it and never die. Of you don’t have the pet then you can only dot and throw bombs with a near 20s cd, and of you pop your cd to make your stuff ranged you will have no energy left because no pet on the guy. Fury warriors ARE a pain with self healing. Also you cannot root if the dot is here, and trap does nothing at all, you don’t deal any dmg, and he doesn’t either, for 8s that’s cool you just put the fight on pause but that doesn’t help fighting against the insane self healing in any way.
Pure dps (war, rogue, dh, dk, etc) should not have self healing.
Hybrid dps that have healing specs as well (pala, ww, feral etc) should have less dmg and their heals should be poor for a lot of mana.
Since he was mainly talking about a 1v1 here, I think Hunter self healing is a bit insane. Have to actually drop his hp two and a half times before a BM dies. Bit much imo.
But overall I agree, they went off the chains with some specs and how much they heal.

Go back to the old formula of pure damage dealers do damage with little to no self heals, with good offensive utility
Hybrids damage dealers can heal, but do less damage, with decent defensive utility
Healers can just heal, with some utility and subpar damage. Increase it for PvE, disable the damage benefit in PvP.
And yes, i have no problem losing Mending bandage that breaks off ancient flame and all the other random magic dots, can’t heal with a talent, because i didnt take another talent (SV instincts) -_-
Don’t care about exhil either, just give me a ranged slow as SV and im good to go. Would be happy knowing DH isnt about to leech my 20 seconds of kiting in 3 secodns.
Let me guess, when a DK complains about the same hunter you will say: What? AMS, Send in abomination for stun, on disengage grip him followed by a stun and you win! Game would be even more scuffed if they did that. Self healing isn’t the problem. We had plenty of self healing in MoP and it wasn’t impossible to kill people
You want healers to heal even more? No ty. I suppose I could live with the warrior talent where bloodthirst removes slows that it gives you a cooldown on BT and heal less. Hunter heal removed, you don’t need it with all that mobility, same goes for rogues, just remove it. If you want to remove the dk heal it should be compensated with mobility.
I gues you don’t understand, that chains of ice is the best slow in-game while you as a dks you cant be slowed and that gives a huge advantage against other melees.
One more vote from me, I have been saying the same for months!
No healing for non healers. As hybrid, you should have more utility, less raw dmg and if you choose to heal you waste the resource that you need for dps (not like now) so you make a trade. Hybrids offset their lack of dps with utility and healing and talents give value to those choices.
For example you can have healing but it’s not efficient. With a talent it matters but you dont take the dps talent that also really matters.
Healers should ACTIVELY heal more. There’s a huge difference on actively healing over throwing hots and shapeshifting to bear, or running around as ghost wolf.
Healers should be required to fake cast in order to keep someone up and Dps should have limited interrupts, not like 10 per hero now.
Moreover, good heals are also expensive heals and you need to micro manage your mana resource.
What kinda shaman do you play you can throw a bunch of hots. Loltide heals for sh!t and the reason why you run in ghost wolf is because people just blanket stun you to death and if you do need to cast you need to be super focussed to see whether someone kicked or not and if 1 did, 2 still haven’t. So you can try to cast again and a hunter/dk/pala/mage/warlock/priest/druid/warrior/rogue/dh will make sure you can’t cast.
About the druids, yes their hots need to be nerfed by 50-70% so they become quite useless. Start casting instead of throwing 5 hots and copying them on yourself and run in bear form where you can heal for another 40% over 6 seconds. Oh and the f’ing kitty jump, shapeshift out and in of form and you’re gone. Blizz really f’ed up druids making them too powerful.
Well if you’re not a moron you can spam purge and their hots will become useless. Plus they will oom way fast af. If the shaman is capable you can’t win against them esp if they have another dispeller in the team.
I didn’t seen you complaining when eles were 2 shotting people with surge of power + stormkeeper.
Ele isn’t as shtty as you’re making it out. Maybe l2p it before you start complaining
Unless you use lifebloom (talented) or overgrowth. You can also stun+clone them to apply hots or just Sotf your way to 100k+ crits for like 5k mana.
Druid has an answer to everything.
Even for purge.
I wish resto druid was that vulnerable to purge as you say.
