Agreed. Sadly system is failing because its notvpreventive enough .
Maybe they shoudl go further and lock accesibility to your score. For example your score is 1k ? You literaly woudont be able to join / create more then +10 .
But tbh keystone system should be removed as whole. They shoudl put in thorgast system . You completed dungeon Y on X level ? You can now forever enter IT on X+1. Woudl solve all issues
They added that for convenience instead of people going in and putting their key in and leaving and resetting the dungeon when they themselves decided they don’t want to do a key at a given level, rather than the system telling them it’s too high for them.
No, that would result in the masses crying for nerfs until they nerf it into oblivion, just like they did to torghast. People think just because they can access something, they should be able to do it.
It is NOT important why it was added. The fact is it being in the game. And it will not be removed. Yes i could get out of the dungeon and reset it again all the way down to level 2.
It is though. People were already downgrading their keys before they implemented it, the old way also meant you could hit the instance cap when downgrading your key and stopped you from even playing the game. Can’t get locked out from playing the game with downgrading with the NPC.
Completely missed the point. As said: Have fun with your dying clown game design, where you lose 60 min as a leader for inviting the wrong person, or having a dc, which happened to me like 3 times already. You can play it on your own with the last few people left, who enjoy this clown party.
They are so desparate, that they give shadowlands now away for free with a lvl 50 boost, bc nobody is playing
M+ is created for coordinated groups. It is difficult to make something this challenging also accessable for pugs without any coordination. That does not make it a “clown game design”.
So what you are saying is this. From what ever level I start downgrading the key until hitting the dungeon 5 dungeon stops me. Wait a and hour and repeat. And I will be doing all this outside of my M+ pre-made schedule.
I ask again what exactly does this change do to me dowgrading my own key? Nothing the key will be downgraded no matter HOW i do it. Through an NPC or just entering and leaving the dungeon. You don’t understand that if someone wants his key downgraded no matter what he will do it.
I can take my 21level and downgrade it to level 2 if i want to no matter how.
No, this weird person wants people to have forced downgrades, even if they have 3k io score, bc they invited someone, who doesn’t play good with the reasoning, that they don’t belong at this key level. They can stay in their dying game, I won’t bother
Yeah, that’s the thing. People can’t sit at home to downgrade their key. People would come home from work, sit down in the evening with their friends and try a key and be like “welp, I don’t want to do this key at all, let’s just downgrade it and stomp it and hope we get another key” and then they start downgrading it and then find themselves locked out for an hour. Yep, that’s that evenings gaming session ruined.
This was implemented for convenience. On the other hand, Blizzards system that downgrades keys when you fail to time, is an automatic difficulty regulator.
Just because you can’t think of a way that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. Here i will give you a few examples:
Since Covid a lot of people still work from home. It won’t change in the next 2 years. And I know it for a fact
A lot of people like me can connect from office network to home one if i am in the office
I know a lot of people who can log before going to work do 5 resets then after work do 5 more so that is 10 in total and i am giving you the minimum requirements. They can easily be increased to 15 or 20
Lets include Saturday and Sunday. I know a lot of people who have both days free
I know a few people who work 3 days from the office and 2 from home.
So as you see there are plenty of options to downgrade the key.
Yes. Cause this mechanic is the sole and only reason why WoW is what it is.
Reminds me of some classic andy prophets → TBC/Wotlk had 12M subs cause you could buy flying with gold. Indeed. WoW had 12M subs ONLY because you could buy flying with gold. So if we bring back buyable flying, we will get 12M subs back?
I know nobody that has an office job. Everyone I know that works, either works shifts in a factory or they work in health care. Neither which offers a work from home option. The factory is the biggest employer in my town.
I completely agree with this. No reason to have the key be downgraded, you can do that yourself if you struggle, similar to just do raid on normal rather than heroic.
If this were in place, I would take more chances on people when I invite them. It would make for a less toxic key, as no harm is done in trying. Now you are punished for inviting the wrong person beyond just wasting 10-15minutes in, you also have to regrind the key up, and it goes to a completely new dungeon.
edit: With not downgrading your key, you can keep learning the same dungeon till you make it at the same difficulty level, like you can in raid.
I like your suggestion. Instead of punishing the players reward them. People must have an incentive to finish the key. Right now there is none if it is not timed. Especially in level 20 and higher brackets
People hating on keys downgrading are most likely people that aren’t consistent enough to be able to get it back to where they want their key to be after they lucked out on a carry.
