Remove the M+ timer

you can always mark you run as “completion” and put in description “weekly no leavers” and ensure before putting in key that people are there for completion and wipes

you wont get any good players nor will you get free boost but you will get people who wont leave .

If they go on like they do, this will become reality sooner than you think. Because certain classes / specs are just losing their patience. Healers in particular.

You and many other people are looking at it the wrong way. You wouldnt have fixed the situation if the timer wasnt there, because if the entire more was designed around not having the timer, the initial conditions would be completely different.

Removing the timer breaks the difficulty scaling of the dungeons and opens up plenty of ways to abuse the system, hence it would require multiple other ways to ensure difficulty, so its very likely the same guy would have left the party once he would notice that ie. the rest of the team is nothing close to killing the roadblock boss (and you would inevitably have fights like that somewhere in some dungeons).

I am pretty sure you can walk in as 5 tanks if you want already

Then YOU play with your own private timer.

I quit tanking due to the M+ Timer.
I am a damn good tank for raids and dungeons, but heck no not with that timer. I cant keep up. And thats fine.
And i know a bunch load of people who feel the exact same way.

The Timer is what creates the toxic enviroment get rid of it. it serves noone

what cant you keep up ? if you are tank then you sent up pace to whatever you are comfortable with with the dps/ hps etc which people do in key .

sometimes its obvious from pull nr 1 that key wont be timed .

maybe you are not as good as you belive yourself to be ?

for example im horribly bad at tanking. thats why even though i tanked since week 1 of season it wasnt untill 2 weeks ago when i tanked my first timed +16 .

if youare not good enough take your time in easier keys before you push for hard ones.

then what exactly are you that good at ? handling 3 mobs at a time with 1 interrupt required ?

Timers are here for e-sport crowd and because that’s main target now this won’t be changed any time soon. Not saying this is bad or good, but if you want different kind of dungeons then you should check other games. You’ll get some fresh air.

The timer obsession started from Diablo 3 actually so they copied that into wow bad idea in my opinion that hardcore gameplay created some toxic and egocentric ppl just my opinion.

OMG, I hate the first 2 weeks of an expansion so much. I’m supposed to gear up my character for raid, but there’s no reliable way to do it. Just a few dungeons each week, then cruising the skies hoping a rare will magically appear somewhere below me and - if I’m very, very lucky - drop some loot.

It’s tedious and depressing… for the first few weeks… Then mythic plus opens and provides unlimited fun and unlimited gearing opportunities.

How about YOU play like there is no timer

Toxic people creates a toxic enviroment, it was a thing long before M+

And i know a bunch of people who started healing/tanking and even DPS, just doing dungeons in general because of the format of M+.

Pat yourself some more on the back if that makes you feel good and special. But i highly doubt you were any good …

I am pretty sure you were able to do Castle Nathria with 30 boomkins once also. And we all know how that ended. Not going to explicitly refer to recent whining comimg from tank classes about being nerfed…

Could you elaborate on this?
When you say it “created toxic and egocentric ppl” what do you mean?

That some people found in enjoyable and wanted to beat the timer?
That some people got better rewards than you?
That some people didn’t wanna play with you for what ever reason (performance, class ect.) ?

Quite frankly, i don’t see it it.
For example, Meta classes were a thing long before M+. So you can’t really say M+ can be blamed for that. It became more widespread true, but how much of that is because of M+?
Streaming PvE got way more popular in that time frame as well, so is it maybe because the “meta” is more readily available?

The gear difference between your “casual andy” and “super elite andy” got bigger no doubt about it. But that started with Mythic raids in WoD really. And even then, so what? Some random dude has better gear than you, who cares? Or is their some wounded pride that some people are no longer at the top of the food chain so to say? That’s hardly toxic.

This, people leaving groups was a thing long before M+, it’s not new, just look at pug raids, 1 wipe 5 people insta leave ect.
It has always been a thing, and always will be a thing.

Isn’t the timer part of the whole challenge?

Then add your own timer or put an achievement to it Its ruining the game in more ways then one.

Yes and then some arrogant B word complains its not going fast enough and guess what, THEY leave and replacing them is not possible wich means you are never going to grow.

Without a timer this wouldnt be an issue

I’m not… thats what i am saying. I am a decent tank just not for a bloody game ruining timer

Why remove the timer?
Just do M0 and you are fine.
Stop trying to cut the fun for other ppl.

To gear up M+ is the way to go.
The timer creat… mate read the damn post

Why cant it be an enrage timer instead then? Like in raids. Surely the bosses can be adjusted so they can be better checks.

Also if people get a +18 keystone in a situation where they would never had been able to get one on week 1 where the loot would get them weeks ahead of others, then of course they would treat it like a grade A5 Wagyu steak.

The timer is really not an issue for the majority of the keylevels. There was even a meme youtube video about a +20 halls key in Shadowlands where the whole group used RP walking for the whole run. If you just pull 1 pack at a time, don’t rush, do the dungeon steady you are way in time up till 15’s at least.

I don’t understand the fuzz about the timer at all.
