Remove the pvp vendors

It’s insane that pvpers who rushed early or got boosted in one afternoon are all walking around in 226 gear with 233 weapons, better gear than world first raiders who are also wearing mostly pvp gear. People walking around in 226 gear with 50 bgs played which is nothing compared to the effort of world first raiders. This insanity has gone on long enough, it’s time to admit that pvp vendors don’t belong in the game and let’s just go back to the BFA model of pvp gearing which was better for causals too.

bfa pvp gearing was also garbage.
they just need to go back and make a clear split between pve and pvp gear.

Bring back PvP scaling. Make base Conquest gear 207 ilvl. Job done!

It was kinda nice u could get full heroic gear without steeping foot in rated, u just needed to grind.

Another day, another troll.

The OP does have a point. Most of the most highly geared players were wondering around in mostly pvp obtained gear, which suggests quite strongly that the balance between gearing in pvp and pve has swung too heavily in pvp’s favour.

Those that went strongly into raiding and pve rather than pvp at the start of the expansion were left behind by the much easier pvp system of gearing.

You can upgrade a pvp item in one epic random bg win (or even loss) easily, whereas valor will take you 3 successful M+ runs. You will also run into the valor cap fairly quickly, blocking further progress, whereas honour can very easily be farmed without limit.

The 1400 rating will award 207 upgrade band- all you have to do to reach that is win enough rated BG (you don’t lose points), equivalent to running M+10’s for drops…

No. PVE just needs the same equivalent.

No PvP geating needs to be nerfed.

While PVE gear remains the same? then pvp’ers are back to running m+ over and over again.

By buffing it in PvP content and nerfing it in PvE content via something like WoD scaling or resilience, yes.

Then pvp gear should be nerfed in all non-pvp content while pve gear stays the same in all content.

Remember the WoD War Games set you could buy in Nagrand, that was effectively cosmetic outside of War Games…? That might work…

Gotta be said; I’d be in favour of TWO sets, one for each ‘type of content’, that lost some benefit to the optional content it’s sourced from.

Another big imbalance is that pvp gear (versa) is needed for pvp, so doing pvp with raiding gear is not a good idea. Meanwhile Versa is the top pve stat for many specs.

Another clueless casual.

Imagine saying Bfa gearing was better for casuals, lol. Everyone who did pvp and wanted to stand a chance was forced to do 15+ keys due to the awful Rng from the pvp chest and the fact dungeon loot had bis stats on them

So; make the ONLY source of PvP gear be the content you play & never reward any currency that can be used for gearing… at all? And what about factoring in how long it could take to GET a full set, for those who ONLY do PvP?

You’ll find pages of threads from players detailing that the randomness of rewards from such a system is counterproductive…

Nah, make pve gear inferior in pvp. Hardcap it to 207 like PvP gear would be in PvE content. It would be the fairest solution.

If you want to optimize your character for PvP, every piece should come from PvP.

Can’t say I do, I never did any war games outside of some arena to test specific mechanics, so I can’t say with certainty how well it’d work 8)

Absolutely nutty that good players got good gear in a reliable fashion.

So, Blizzard implemented a bad system and your solution is to “remove the vendors”?
PvPers have been asking for vendors for YEARS. How about instead of wanting things removed you ask Blizzard to come up with better gearing option for PvE?
