Hello,
Just trying to understand what happened, was running a dungeon and got removed from the group, for no apparent reason, tried to re-queue for a new random dungeon but I got a timer forcing me to wait.
I was running with the rest of the group, and everything was going fine, so I doubt it’s a kick, also the chat message clearly used the word “removed” and not “kicked”, and if I was kicked, why would the game punish me by waiting penalty, it’s not me who left unless I did without realizing?.. confused here.
I’ve been to really bad runs before, and no one ever kicked anyone else, whoever is frustrated usually leaves.
Thank you

When you get kicked it still says “You have been removed from the group” as far as I remember.
It has been a long time since I got kicked from a dungeon perhaps Legion / BfA times. It never says you’ve got kicked from the group, correct me if I’m wrong people.

Maybe they were not happy with your dps, or you´re stealing aggro. basic stuff that toxic players don´t like

There’s a -very small- chance that the instance server had some problem and disbanded the group. Happened to me once with a group of friends and we all got this message.
But it’s more likely they just didn’t like your mog.

Thanks everyone, I guess I will never know
It sucks, but I’m afraid nothing can be done about it. People are just jerks sometimes.
Fix yourself a sandwich, listen to some Blind Guardian and queue again.

The Deserter Debuff is applied whether you leave or are kicked.
This is to prevent players acting toxically in order to get kicked rather than leave in an attempt to avoid the debuff.
It sucks but the vote/kick system has been like this for a long time. There could be changes to make it less toxic but they’ve never been done.

Could’ve been something with the instance server or most likely you got kicked.
Doesn’t mean you did anything bad.
I’ve seen people getting kicked for ‘wearing an ugly hat’ even though they weren’t wearing a hat.
pro tip:
Don’t think about it and just re-queue once the debuff wears off.

i’m pretty sure it wasn’t about you , probably a random toxic player , they always find a reason to kick people

They think they are too cool , and can exacslate you in the group without a repercussion , but they will realize at their death, that from their unkindness, they end up with unkindness.

sometimes all it takes is just being at wrong place at wrong time. the kicker most like was just having some sand in the deep places and needed to vent out by being a vindictive little twatwaffle

being removed by groups in wow is like being blocked on dating apps: often there is not good reasoning, some people suffer god complex, you will never have closure about it and gotta learn how to let it go in order to keep your mental sanity.

A question, Am I doing more damage in the dungeon if my level is higher than the level of the remaining party members? am not sure how it works in a dungeon.
I have been removed again, waiting time is 8 minutes instead of 3, I don’t mind the wait, we were in the middle of a boss fight, and I was taking it easy not to pull the boss to me, playing as Ret Paladin, level 44, the rest around levels 20s and 30s.
I am trying to figure out what am doing wrong, too much DPS?> Too little DPS?
Edit: never mind guys thanks for your time, Ill keep it up until I figure it out myself!
Not necessarily, low lvl dungeons scale weirdly on a bunch of different parameters for each player individually so even the lowest lvl can be “top dps”.
But ye nvm, you’re not getting kicked.
The debuff you get from that is 30min from the moment you get removed and is a visible debuff in the top right corner.
If its only a few minutes it’s the cooldown on the random group finder which is 15-ish minutes starting once you join a group.
You’re getting disconnected from the instance server for some reason.

It was apparently added so that if the person ques again that they won’t be grouped up with the same team they were kicked from. To me it seems pretty far-fetched and should’ve been made so that you can que again instantly but with a system that prevents you to not be able to que (sorry if I keep misspelling that) with the group you were kicked from, and should apply if you’re kicked twice in a row by different teams since often people get kicked for the most ridiculous reasons, especially in leveling dungeons.
Edit: Grammatical errors.

No.
It was added because people demanded they be kicked because you didn’t get deserter then and would afk if you didn’t kick them. This was rampant in wotlk dungeons, especially the occulus.

I think that if people do not want to do a dungeon, they shall queue for a specific. They do not know it, that if they are an abandoner in a dungeon that is bad, the others will be left in a dungeon that is bad and missing a team mate?

Not sure, but most likely you are making such mistakes that experienced players think that you are doing it intentionally to slow down the group.
People should inspect other players before they start to vote if that player is a new/ inexperienced player or not.
Or Blizzard should implement something to protect new players getting kicked.
