Repetative Disconnects - Classic

Both the wife and I have been kicked out of the game about 30 times total since last night.

It’s not our internet, there is nothing wrong there, we checked.

Also she has disconnected twice as much as I have, so obviously it’s something else.

Cabled connection. ( Yes new cables tried )

Both using addons, the same ones, have turned them all off and still get the disconnects.

The disconnection process has two varieties.

You’ll walk from say Goldshire, all the way to the Dwarven district of Stormwind, only to realise that long walk was pointless, because along the way you disconnected from the game.

But, you can still use all the chat features in game and talk to your guildmates … quite odd.

Your just booted out randomly, no apparent reason.

You are not alone, since last afternoon i get DC every 10-30min with or without addons, reinstalled nothing helped.

Edit: And now i can’t even rez up. Mostly getting this is Fererals.

Happens everywhere to me, just now I went to grab a drink, came back, chatting to party then noticed I can’t cast skills and everyone around me is running in place xD

Same to me. For last two hours I am getting disconnect from classic and battlene.app about 2-3 min after I login. And can’t connect back if I don’t close all blizzard related programs and restart them.

Same for me, suddenly I can’t cast spells and everyone is running in place. Chat still work when this is happening. Only fix is alt + f4 and restart the game. Internet is fine.

Hey all!

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch. We’ve not seen any specific issues on our side related to losing the World connection but retaining the Home (chat) connection.
Can I ask that if any of you are still experiencing issues here, please can you collect a WinMTR test that was run during an example of this issue, and paste it here we will be able to investigate this further.

Same here. It started yesterday (Wednesday, 18.09.2019) and I haven’t found a way to trigger it. It just happens randomly. At that point, if you wait long enough (also random, sometimes 1 minute, sometimes 5 minutes) it eventually ends in a WOW51900319 error. There are no problems with other games, twitch, youtube, etc …

Things I did:
Reinstall WoW
Reset router + flushdns
Disabled every addon
Switch from IPv4 to IPv6 and vice versa
Turned “Optimize network for speed” option on and off
Happens for retail and classic

But it still keeps happening.

I already posted it on another thread on german forums. German Thread about the same problem

hello Im having the dc problem on retail since yesterday. got dced like 15 times, and played with my brother on arena, so we talked over the vc, but started it outside of the game, and that connection was valid even when i got dced. I sended in a ticket about it 10 min ago…

Having the same issues on my account and it’s been going on like this for 2-3 days now. Also had this issue where i got random disconnects two times when i played Overwatch. So it seems to be connected over the battle.net platform.

Having the same problems,
Since yesterday I’ve been getting random disconnects which has never happened before. I didnt change anything in my setup or ISP.

Sometimes after yesterday I am now in the need of restarting the game with alt+f4 because all the mobs disappear and I lose connection to the game but I can still run around on my mount (cant dismount cant logout etc)

Another thing to point out, probably related to this issue.
Battle Net last night died, you could run the game, but social / friends e.c.t were offline, you could not message anyone, nor see who was actually online, but in game you saw them on fine.

Hello again!

Thank you all for taking the time to collect the WinMTR files. I notice that a number of you are experiencing a small amount of packet loss and peak latency early on in your connection which can result in desyncs from the World Server. I know that some of these steps have already been tried by some of you, but for the purposes of visibility I will list all recommendations to try and fix this here, and I would ask that anyone suffering from these disconnections try all of the following in the hopes that we can get this all sorted for you!

To start, I want to ensure that the game is as “default” as possible, by removing all Addons and Interface modifications. Please follow this guide to Reset your WoW User Interface.

On a similar topic, we’re going to ensure that no other application on your PC is interfering by Closing Background Applications. In addition, if you’re using any VPN or Proxy applications or tools, please remove them.

Then, please can you Release and renew your IP and flush your DNS to resolve any network conflicts, and if you’re using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.

Finally for now, old firmware on your modem and router can cause issues with complex game connections. Please visit your ISP, or the manufacturer’s website for instructions on how to apply firmware updates.

Yea, tried all that yesterday and again after your latest comment.

I have cleared cache, deleted WTF and Interface folders.
I have done all ipconfig stuff in cmd.
I have downgraded and updated firmware on router to make sure it has the latest version.
I have opened every port related to game services in my firewall/router.

EDIT: Fun fact. This only happens on my main character. I can be logged in to my bank-alt without any issue.

This is definitely not on our end.

Thank you for responding, but the list of usual stuff really is not going to help.

You need to forward this onto the tech team, the constant crashes are becoming so irritating.

We have done all of your suggested things, multiple times, I literally just did another scan, repair, delete WTF / Cache / Flush DNS again just because why not, and what just happened … I crashed on a boat, great fun

Any more ideas ?

I don’t mean to sound insulting, I’m just incredibly naffed off and the fact that your phone hours started hours ago, yet is unavailable makes me even more naffed off … I’m really trying to be nice here and not swear and shout and scream and rip orcs heads off and throw them at your headquarters, but it’s really difficult

And to top all this pain in the agro off.

Live chat is supposed to be online from 15:00 CEST ( breaking news says so ) so I try and go through the correct channels to start one and nope, closed.

So I do it the sneaky way and go through the payment support and what do you know, Live chat and phone chat are both available.
