So apparently Soundless can be tamed while in the middle of taking damage from an entire raid group. So, hunters, expect to never be invited to a group again.

its a bug where the tame just doesnt break, not the raid not being able to pull aggro off it unfortunatly, you could have 0% threat and be able to tame it
All you achieved with this post is letting all hunters know they can grief raids.
How many knew about this before your post?

How is this reporting abuse exactly? The rare can drop a mount, it is also tameable by hunters. So it would seem that it is farmed for both the mount and taming.
Blizz made the rare tameable, maybe blame them instead?
On the other hand, if a hunter starts taming one of these mobs, why don’t you attack it? Overaggoing will stop the tame imediately then you can all try for your mount then.
Also, no idea why somebody is taming Rotfeaster seeing how there are vultures identical to it elsewhere.
I think it’s exactly the oposite. People who read this post, for sure will not invite hunters in their groups. At least, i will not.
Soundless is the only missing rare i didn’t killed. It’s because my play-time is very limited, his spawn is rare and difficult and i would go crazy of anger if something like that would happen to me after waiting for more than 6 months to kill it, just because a dork hunter wants a “special” pet. If a hunter does that to a group, that means he is a real douche.
They reported his previous post about this topic until it was removed. And from my point of view, if his previous topic was identical with this one, then yes, i agree with him, it was a abuse.
You are a bit annoying. Almost 90% of your 2k+ comments are sarcastic replies. I saw many useless comments from you that where pissing off people more than the topic discussed. Don’t you have anything else to do? For example camping Soundless?
And there are not players who play hunter that have limited play time? You are also seeing this as a problem with a class rather than a problem with how Blizz set this up. The rare drops a mount, so people want it. The rare is also tameable so hunters want it.
If it was implemented differently it could have satisfied all, Soundless drops the mount so camped for mount only (not tameable). Mobs with the same skin that could be tamed.
Calling others ‘dork hunters’ is probably easier for you, so you be you, but I still say if it’s tameable then Blizz knew that Hunters would want it and they have just as much right as you to camp for what they want.
Let me put it this way:
We create a raid to kill Soundless. We got all possible classes in this raid, except a hunter. Then, the last player that joins, is a hunter. So now, we are 20 happy people because we know that each one of us has a chance for the mount or kill (for the achievement, that’s my current situation). Bam, Soundless spawn and boom, next second the hunter starts to tame the rare. 19 people’s hope and chance to kill or get the mount mount ruined by one person. Does it seems fair?
And from what i read on that WoWhead link, this example was reported by some players.
And btw, we all know hunters reputation in game. No wonder that since almost Vanilla, this class was called : Huntar,d. Why didn’t the community said something similar about other classes. To say : shamtar,d or wiztar,d? And no offence to hunters, but it’s like this class has something special, it draws more “douche” people, than other classes (obviously except Rogues who are nr. 1 ). I’m not saying that all hunters are douche or tar,ds, but the ratio of douche hunters and douche other classes, was higher for the hunter class.
And going back to “class issue” , if this is a class issue, which in my opinion is not, then hunters should ask a fix for it instead to behave like douches and ruin other people’s chances just because they can. When we shamans complained about our issues (class, skills, talents, what-ever), most of players entered on our class forum and started to say : “shamy cry babies” …
Well, then hunters should start complaining until this issue is fixed.
Until then, wait to get invited…
Or other players can ask for a fix instead of ruining a hunters chance of a tame? Are you really going to say that it is a hunter problem that the rare is tameable?
Are you also aware that there is achievements that players can get for killing rares, one of which is a favourite for hunter tames? How is this fair? So as you put it, some idiot comes along and kills such a rare for an achievement when a hunter has camped this for a tame? So tell me who is the douche? This happens in game because this is how Blizzard made it, just because it is a rare that you now want it’s an issue?
And as usual I see you resort to child like name calling and earlier also targeting an individual for no other reason than to be rude to them?
So let’s look at this, I would say (although I haven’t checked all your posts) that 90% of your posts target individuals and become abusive. Don’t you have anything else to do?
I think as long as their intentions are made clear (I.e. say when joining) hunters should be able to tame any mob they want. The problem arises when it’s a “ninja tame”.
