Report AFK easily abused in battlegrounds

I got booted from AV without any warning whatsoever tonight, the BG had started and my team and I rode past Balinda Bunker, I noticed quite a few players leaving the BG untill I was met with a loading screen, and back in Ironforge with a 15min deserter debuff completely out of the blue. Is this a known bug?

Coercion.
As explained in the long post above, there has been a certain small region (I won’t say which, because that’s against the rules) where it became a social norm with the prevalence of these rulebreaking premades, that if a “random” came into the premade’s BG, such as AV for example, then they’d force this random to do what the premade said.

Now, the way they could force their way like this, is because there’s a right-click AFK report implemented too, for people on your own team. If only one reports a person, it does nothing. If only a few reports a person, it “marks” that person as afk, and will kick the person from the BG after a minute of not having entered PvP combat.

If a lot reports a person for being AFK, it instantly kicks the player from the BG.

So with this system, the premade would get rid of “non-cooperative” randoms in their BGs. Or if they just didn’t like the class/spec the player was playing, or didn’t like the gear of the player because it was “too low ilvl”.

This became the social norm in this region.

Btw this is an abuse of the system and you can make a ticket to alert a GM about it. Because it’s a bannable offense.
Just remember to include the time of when it happened.
