Reporting a player from another server

First of all I am quite new to battlegrounds, started doing them 5 days ago. I was in a battleground that we were about to win. Suddenly got a pop up message in the middle of the screen telling me a player has reported me afk, so I need to type “afk clear” to cancel the effect. So I did. I got insta kicked out of the BG and received a “Deserter” penalty.

That was a clear abuse imho, probably to make room for some other player. I cannot report the player, right clicking his name in the chat doesn’t work. He plays on a different server.

I cannot also open a ticket through the support page because it keeps giving me back predefined answers which do not help me.

Would anybody assist me how to proceed from now on. Thanks.

You live and learn. “Everyone”'s been a victim to that trick before and now you wont fall for it again. Nothing to report as you left the bg of your own free will. So to speak

I know. I’m referring to 15 years ago when I also was new to the game, hence my “everyone” as obviously not everyone has had that happen to them

Blizzard likely won’t care, customer support is not something that is available to Classic players.

he did this by typing /e and then the message, you were never reported afk etc
