Reporting AFK bots in Epic BGs make me a "bad guy"

There is a known AFK bot guy in 20-49s Epic BGs.

He never move, he never do anything and he join every Epics 24/7 to leech XP and Honor. He just sit there on the starting spot for 40+ mins.

I spam to kick him at start of every Epics and we do kick him in 90% of the situations.

But… Now I was becoming the bad guy by wanting to report away an AFK bot? Now Im silenced in-game for 2 days cuz his other accounts reported me for something…

I have pictures of all his AFKing. I`ll post them tomorrow.

I report this guy for cheating but Blizz still dont do anything…
He must be using a 3rd party program to be able to enter every Epic BG, even if we kick him out. Looks like a bot. Normal person cant join every single Epic BGs 24/7 and dont move at all in it.

My guts hurts, Im getting cancer by trying to play your game…
Is that normal? Exploiters to be “activison-blessed”?

Dunno what I write back there but its too long. I`ll upload the pics tomorrow.

The guy is AFK in every Epic BG from start to the end - 40 mins and he do 0 dmg, 0 healing, 0 nothing but he got free XP, Honor and HKs.

Why you dont do something about the AFKers in WoW?
There is a AFK system in the other Blizz games - Overwatch, HotS, etc…
If you AFK-ing in Overwatch or HotS, you got kicked and got a penalty for that.

You can’t get silenced for quietly reporting someone.
You absolutely said something to / about him in the chat, especially if you know the guy. That much is apparent.

Every BG? You said 90% of the time you’re successful in kicking him.

I bet you are a PvE guy and you never tried 20-49s PvP.
The guys who use that PvP bracket know what Im talking about.

Of course not, wasting time in low level PVP brackets is for bad players who rely on one shot abilities in twink gear.

What does that have to do with common sense?

You said you kick him 90% of the times. Therefor it’s impossible for him to be AFK from start to end in every BG. According to your own statement he would only be there in 10% of the BGs.

You also glossed over the fact that you absolutely said something toxic to him in chat.

Also I only just realised who it is I’m wasting my time responding to. I guess I am the fool here.

I’ve just given up on pointing out AFKers, more often than not people threw abuse or kicked me instead :joy: And it’s not even like I spammed the chat or anything.

It’s annoying in any bracket level.

Usually the only people who are ok with bad behaviors are those who embrace them as well, so make sure to keep notifying the others of a leecher among your group.

Blizzard does do stuff, they’ll even send you an in game mail when they’ve taken action.
It’s important you write it down well, just saying someone is a bot won’t do anything. Write down the specifics. What where how and when are the most important.

that’s how the mute system works lakdro, all that is needed is enough reports - there was some classic drama in the aq event as well, though with full in-g bans

oh and low level pvp ftw for everyone there is a newbie and on somewhat equal ground, esp in a burst meta or hm corruptions

Please, don’t be ridiculous.

If you think you have been unjustly silenced, you need to contact the game support about it. The forums can’t help you with that.

As long as you get enough reports you will get silenced no matter of anything. Its automated and Blizzard is not looking at it at all if its actualy jusrified. Same issue have classic. There were entire guilds mass reporting platers what has been farming for scarab lorda in order to slow their progress.

Just report him with details during the BG. No-one knows you reported him and he’ll not know who it was when kicked.

You are not and that’s an extremely upsetting statement for some people.

If the system automatically kicked people who weren’t in combat we’d never be able to defend anything in a battleground.

The best thing you can do is flag the characters as AFK. As Ananda pointed out, no one will know you are reporting. Unless you are saying something in the instance chat about it.

How can you report someone without saying anything?!
How else are you going to look into their eyes as all hope is drained from their souls when they realize they’ve been betrayed by one of their own kind.
Dragged out of the battleground kicking and screaming with no gear or honor to claim as a reward. Only time wasted…

Majority of people in this thread defending the dude who’s afk using a bot programm to farm XP ruining other people’s experience in BGs.
