Why would you want to “Start over” ?
I personally never want to re-do all the grinds.
Imagine telling a warrior that he has to re-do his 600 runs of BRD arena.

why would you want to stay in classic era forever, rerunning naxx over and over hahaha,
fresh classic is a brilliant idea, fresh economy, fresh mindsets, everyone helping out, playing the game the way it was designed, not paying for boosts and running on store mounts

Yes of course this makes sense and it should happen at some point. I mean it’s kinda ridiculous that our only option of playing fresh Vanilla now is on private servers… don’t they want our money?

Why not make it optional?
So people who want to reset can delete their characters and start again alongside those that want to continue progression on the same characters, some of whom paid to clone to era?
My warrior still has gear he needs from all the 40 man raids from mc to naxx.
I agree that further merging or free pve to pvp transfer is needed. Merging the 3 pve servers has still not created a viable population, especially horde side.

Make new if you reallly like to. But one server - no way! At least two: one PvP and one PvE!

Because that is what the game is?
That’s the reward you get, total power and progression “Done” and can enjoy the game forever more.
Deleting every thing you’ve work hard for is just dumb.

It was said time and time again that Classic will need a Diablo style ladder server that is going to reset every year or so, possibly with a ladder-like leaderboard, because that’s exactly what most of the ‘‘fresh’’ people wanted.
Because same as with Diablo, you can only keep it engaging and interesting by starting over from time to time with everyone.

didn’t people pay $$$ to copy there characters into classic era?
maybe blizzard should just open new server to new people and prevent transfer to it.

There’s nothing to stop people starting fresh now. New servers will just dillute the population further.

I don’t play on era and probably if they open only a few server , that could work
Delete all the servers and create a couple of dedicated fresh PvP PvE and RP servers to reset the community and economy.

No thanks - Create fresh is OK; but deleting all old servers will make me quit, or go to TBCC.
