Resilience

Any1 knows the usual amount of resilience people would run in pvp? (tbc)

The amount that is from the pvp gear. You use all of it.

That depends a lot on your class. If you have tools to avoid damage like rogues or mages and gain big benefits of PvE gear stats like haste or armor pen you can run a bit of it.

Both haste and arp gear is from later tiers

You run all of it until the end of season 3/season 4 where rogues, mages and even resto druids in some cases, can get away with mixing in 4-set bonuses, more dmg through pve stats or mana regen in the druids case.

Because by then gladiator gear has vasts amounts if resil. But running under 200 resil is a certain swift death. Locka run the most ofc, shadowpriests as well. The specs avility to avoid damage in relation to your comp dictates what works and whats required.

I remember when i played sp in tbc…
I could play dual gear ( half shadow/half healer) and go capped, it wouldn’t give me more even if i put more.
In general SP and affl/slsl locks played with near cap numbers, as they could practically kill you by dots and mana drains…so they needed big defences.
In Sp s3/4 i was over 500resi up to overcap.
Other specs played around 480…because they didn’t gem/ench for it…

That was added in WOTLK if I’m not mistaken. There was no arp in BC.

However, the amount of resilience needed depended on each class. Rogues could wear some PvE pieces for extra damage and they would do great.

There are items that give you equip-bonus ignoring some of your oponents’ armour.
