If you want to min/max pve + pvp it will cost you. You can make some compromises or go full tilt and pay the price.
Classic does not make everything convenient for everyone. Love it or hate it, that’s the World of Warcraft that we play.

- Fear has a cast time, no need for blanket silence
- You can iceblock deathcoil while it’s mid air, no health for the lock
- You can break fear with iceblock
- Ice barrier ( you have that for your pve spec, rigth?
) can eat a ton of dots
and finally spammable, cc? are you kidding me, your a frekking mage!
ps. Using iceblock on deathcoil and fear would admittedly at times dc you from the server and/or glitch you though the world… but that’s hopefully fixed in classic
If you don’t play UD, you will get a hard time vs Warlock. Anyway, Mage is really good vs melee but sucks vs all ranged + druid. Classic is full of Paper Rock chisel

I agree it’s annoying, but that’s kind of the point. For MC and onyxia specifically though, once you’ve cleared them a couple of times and they’re both firmly on farm status, you really do not need to respec for every raid.
Alternatively, you can be your guild’s WC mage as that means you won’t have to respec since that actually allows you to do stuff outside raids.
Roll another mage, that’s how we used to do it.
Full frost is viable in MC/ONY, you do not need any arcane talents.
Did you read what I said? Nowhere am I saying convenience in itself is bad. I’m saying there’s a price for convenience. Dungeon finder, flying mounts or personal loot are also convenient, but there are reasons why some people dislike them.
I’m literally saying it makes you a worse one.
Even at 60 dungeons can be done without a specialized tank. You don’t need a dedicated healer either, even when your hybrid healer doesn’t cut it you can go slower by having someone else off-heal instead. Some lower level dungeons can be done with a shaman with a shield or without a tank at all, bursting bosses with rogues using evasion and vanish, hunters feign death, mages ice block… to quickly rotate, and killing trash with CC. For loot you can even go with 10 (at the cost of experience, sure, but you clear much much faster).
These options are all on the table but people never even consider them because they stubbornly think dungeons must be cleared in a very specific way. It doesn’t matter if two rogues can kill Razorlash or Plugger on their own; people always “need” a tank, a healer and three DPS, preferably mages of course.
Fear has 20y range. You have 30y on most spells, 36y on frostbolt with Arctic Reach. Combine this two informations together. Profit. Tho still not the easiest one.
I am sure the OP is the type of person who will start casting blizzard 1 second after the tank goes in to pull. “Just because it is convenient”

At some point this is simply the only advise left. It’s all there in BfA, it’s also what people who like classic tend to find hollow about it.
So keep the games apart; you can find one thing in BfA and another in classic. If you start to change one or the other to fit the narrative of the other you’ll just end up with two hybrid games that no one likes.

respeccing is perfect as it is.
In fact its very “casul” in its own way. in RPGs you cant respect, once you choose how to lvl up your skills, you done for.

In the original design of the game, I heard they were thinking about not giving people to respec option. I want to use this thread to request this change in the game please.

Then you tell your friends that they need to pay you 50g each respec you gotta do, because they’re obviously far too demanding if they want somebody to minmax for molten core lmao.
Otherwise there’s no point trying to appease your friends. Ain’t nobody got the time and gold to pay 50g every darn day. Ditch your supposed friends and play with other people who have realistic outlook of this game.
