yeah, i wanted to wish my farewells to a genuinely good person, he was one of my favourite forum posters, not only to read but to actually converse with…
he actually understood my mentality so it never ended in bickering just good equal conversation.
i will miss that and his wit.

even logging in game is tough, keep expecting to see him chatting in trade or just bump into him somewhere RPing but that’s not gonna happen again…
same, i know, like others have said,i didn’t know Brig personally, but we’ve engaged with him enough on the forums to wish i had, but that’s it really, we are all part of the crazy dysfunctional family of WoW, i mean i didn’t know Lemmy either, but nonetheless it all still shapes who you are. they are still a part of you.
two things i do know about him, he greeted death in the same philosophical way he greeted life and i liked that, i always had time for his posts.

I didn’t know Brigante, but I have seen the name pop up on these forums a few times, a quick search reveals that they even replied to some of my posts, not sure what to say, is it inappropriate to ask what happened?
I only interacted with Brig twice or thrice, but what I can recall specifically from the 2nd time was his… infectious enthusiasm and passion over WoW’s lore and RP.
In fact, that enthusiasm over RP pretty directly inspired me to join into my friend group’s tabletop RPG sessions, which turned out to be a godsend during the pandemic. I did contemplate thanking him via an ingame mail or something, but never did.
Somewhat regrettable in hindsight. Maybe it’s okay.
Rest in peace mate, you always showed remarkable strength of character.

I’m aware of that. I was wondering what the details were.
I dont know the details but one of his last posts was him saying he was going to hospital saying something along the lines of “because my lifestyle has caught up with me”
Potentially died in hospital, if that’s the case, must have been something quite severe for that to happen.
Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but from reading this thread he apparently had some respiratory disease/condition that left him 2-3 years to live but was made worse by Covid I think.
May he respawn in a better place.

Late post, because I recently had a real funeral streak IRL and wasn’t really in the right mindset to say anything. Now I am, though, so here goes:
I interacted with Brigante only a few times on the forums, but from what I’ve seen he was a solid fellow (even if I vehemently disagreed with him regarding some Very Important Elf Stuff!). While I was nowhere close to him, the realization that I am never going to see him around delivering ridiculously elaborate posts where he goes on a million tangents a minute was definitely a sad one. He was a character to remember.
Wherever you are, Brigante, I hope you keep on rock and rollin’.
He had a few medical conditions which were worsened when he caught corona last year. He was recently told it cut his life expectancy down to 2-3 years. Not sure what the latest hospital visit was about, but he expected to be in for at least a few weeks and potentially not getting back out at all. Apparently it was the latter

I never had the pleasure of knowing Brigante, but I sure had pleasure in reading his posts.
A true shame he has passed on. At least he is now free of his illness and any pain that came with it.

I just came back and this is the first thing I see… Truly heartbreaking. I saw him a few months ago in Korthia and /waved at him, never really seen him in-game but i loved interacting with him and reading his responses here. Very very saddened by this news.
