Resto Shaman doesn't use mana?

I’ve noticed by the time I’m about 30-50% mana. A resto shaman is on about 90% still.

I guess this topic is nothing more than a rant. But I just don’t really understand whats happening there…

Hi, we get a % of mana back after each critical healing + we have a totem that gives us back mana

as people will get more gear, arena games could last longer and cos of that most likely will reroll my disc to other healer, healing through atonement this super busty expansion wont help a lot mana wise, seems like other healers will swim in mana and disc will starve.

Seems like rshaman also gets mana back for pressing purge.

Same with Hpala. As a priest, druid or monk you’re basically on a clock.

riptide is not expensive and water shield gives mana back.
other heals are not needed.

Its the mastery problem.
Also ascendence + mastery makes then even more powerful than h paladins with wings on and in melee range to their heal target.

Is shaman like the only class that didnt lose any of his original mana recovery mechanic? They actually got another one in a form of free dispel…Blizz must be trolling us this season, seriously.

what do you mean by free dispel?

they lost all their mana mechanics.
They got mana tide and water shield back in systemlands.

purge is not free though, not sure what you are talking about.

Purge is the sama mana cost as it was in bfa. It only dents the mana if you really spam purge druids or priests. Purging occasionally also didn’t matter in bfa.
Same for priests btw.

Only thing that bothers me is how little mana Riptide and Earth Shield cost.

Why do I spend more mana dispelling a kill target than the Resto Shaman who has to constantly reapply these two effects in addition to also healing their teammate.

There’s basically zero reason to offensive dispel against them unless you’re also a Resto Shaman.

I don’t want to be biased, but I still don’t think the issue lies with Resto shaman having overpowered mana regeneration, but rather with other healers having too little of it.
If anything, I’d buff other healers. Especially, you know…Mistweavers.

Ppl mentioned multiple times it doestn cost anything. Im surprised as much as you are, but I dont know details. Would be nice if somebody can explain this. Makes no sense to me, but SL is bad enough for this to be true.

That could cause damp games again once they also nerf the ik specs…id rather shamans get in line than boosting everybody else…

Healers above 2k:

1255 disc Priests
976 holy Paladins
443 resto Shamans

yeah resto shamans clearly are breaking out of the line

Indeed we are. I play with crit because it’s my pve gear so i get mana back. Also Riptide is very stronger than in BFA. Remember in BFA when we had 500k hp? It’s like now Riptide’s (initial heal) heals for 100k HP (And even more if the shaman plays full mastery, his ally is very low and it Crits. It can heal for more than 10k this wayi guess). It’s kinda crazy xD .

Then they might as well just remove mana bars.

Now, can you explain why that is?

I know why, I’m just curious if you know.

Just to remind you, disc is still one of the healers that go oom and needs to manage mana.

I giggled upon seeing the topic.

Yea, they are the best class when it comes to not go oom.

I am in total shock, I can not believe what I am reading, i am shoock, gagged and gooped!

I’d rather have quicker games. So making sham and pal go oom sooner would be nice
