Restoration shaman gold farm question

I had a restoration shaman as a main. If you’re sticking with restoration now and for the future, your best bet is to roll an alt.

Resto shaman is one of the slowest killers in Classic, it’s unbearably slow. It’s like watching paint dry or grass grow.

Unfortunately with pure gathering you’re limited to well… Pure gathering…

Black Lotus hunting late-night is going to be super lucrative for you, especially in Shazzrah where I imagine the alliance don’t put up that much resistance

Plaguebloom/silversage should mostly sell well. With the drop in ghost mushroom prices (at least on Firemaw) I don’t think farming them is remotely worthit anymore (especially if you’re not making pots with them)

I’d stick with lotus hunting at quiet times if I were you. Not the best but pure gathering slows down at endgame unfortunately

This reservation culture that’s sprung up in classic is crazy.
Sure we had it to a lesser extent in past expansions (prior to LFD) but that was for one or two pieces of gear, now i’m seeing groups that have reserved entire loot tables, every resource, all Strathholme orbs, every piece of green gear, all recipes, it’s ridiculous.

Where the hell has it come from? Did the freeloaders drag it over with them to classic or something?

greed

those who came here with a not-so-classic mentality join these runs and get rinsed accordingly. i reckon as more leave and the most stubborn remain, this should largely die out

nothing more annoying when someone whispers me their macro advert for strat living, only to tell me that all orbs are res

Oh I know that these people existed but it was infrequent, easily avoidable and frowned upon, even when you did encounter these players it was something like “X is reserved for Y” or “RR loot only,” annoying but not a massive problem unless it was something you really wanted.

But now it’s much worse and everywhere, what’s changed in the community that has lead to this becoming an acceptable practice? Sure greedy people have always existed but this is bonkers.

Few weeks ago, I was asking myself the same question.
Tried a lot methods of farming, every one of them included killing lots of mobs as healer and thats just not my thing.
Then I started rogue and lock with gathering proffessions and it pays off now at lvl 30+. And most important, these alts might become my mains one day, so usefull to level them, not to mention change of pace is welcome in everyday farming.
Its so refreshing learning new abilities on classes I never played before, at least not in vanilla.
Lastly, why exactly do you need gold, I mean lots of it? I asked myself that question - it was mostly for epic mount.
But, do I really need epic mount? No, I dont really, not for once-a-week ride to MC or Ony lair.
So, my gold needs become really low - some odd repair after raid or few mana pots for raid, thats few gold. Gold problem solved:)))

i dont know the price on your realm and the competition, but on my realm i did farm blindweed, goldthorn and fadeleaf in swamp of sorrows. i prefered that zone because of the herb density and low lvl mobs doesnt aggro since killing stuff as resto is horrid.

i have epic mount and hide of the wild and sits around 250g atm.
