Retarded Pets?

Howdie,

In the open world my Pet will happily chase a mob even a 100 yards away aslong as there is a path.

But I just dusted off my Hunter for some PvP but it seems my pets are having a stroke in battlegrounds. They won’t charge or chase a player if they’re slighty further than my maxium attack range and will simply not react at all.

I know they changed the range of pets in retail because people didn’t like being kited in arena’s, but they did they also apply this to classic?

Well yea I noticed that too. Pet will not respond to pet attack if enemy is 60+ yards away or something like that. Also they still didnt fix that you have to press pet attack 3 times for it to work…

I know during phase 1 there was the spy-add on that detect enemy players 200 yards away from the combat log, and you could send your pet to sniff them out if they were hiding so they tried to restrict all kinds of things before eventually just limiting battle logs to 50 yards, but it seems the pet attack range never got reverted and should not be active in battlegrounds anyways.

For the pet to attack I simply macrod all my abilities with /petattack in front of them because It’s not worth the hassle anymore to keep clicking attack everytime and hoping it gets through ;p

I’m just noticing now that I’m active in battlegrounds with him and it feels severly gimped to see a target but having to walk close to him for your pet to attack him or simply become none-responsive.
