That’s not really what they said. That’s more along the lines of “UHDK threatened to completely dominate the meta and only get more dominant with the level of gear they got.”
Which fits their conditions for stepping in balance-wise regarding class representation, where a class has to either completely dominate or be pretty much completely left out.
Unlike Rets, Warriors are mature players patiently waiting for their moment to shine.

Which would require rets to actually shine at some point, which they dont.

I was aware of the doing something when a class wasn’t brought along, but when did they add that ‘completely dominate’ part?
They’re taking a reserved stance that in order to warrant a buff the class needs to be not taken across the whole spectrum of raid teams. In this case the had to nerf UHDK, ebcause DKs were effectively pushing out most classes not called warlock and rogue, even tho the rest is not that far behind
Mmm, well then it comes down to what you call “well represented” in a class as a whole. Since the only pure DPS that is pushed out then would be hunters and mages, and how many of them you need for the buff - debuff.
If you can argue dps Paladins can just switch to tanking or healing, then shamans, warriors, druids and priests can change as well.

This chinese meme run is basically what Blizz feared would become the meta, if UHDK was left unchecked… (Ironically it has a Ret in it)
But not a single hunter/warrior! Just putting it out there ;p
Yeah, what you would expect from competitive raids, one of each for a vital buff/debuff, the rest only top DPS. Must admit that looks pretty sad.

Yes and now Warlock is totaly domining others dps.
So try hard guild are forced to play with 7 warlock in raid.

Difference being they’re nowhere near as far ahead as UHDK used to be, with Fire mage being even slightly ahead, on the distant top end of the spectrum. After Demonology the next 10 specs are pretty much dead even, in that good, but not necessarily desirable to stack spot.
If Blizzard were to be fair, not a bunch of a***s, they would have returned the Seal of Blood / Martyr to Retri Paladins for Ulduar and Naxx as our whole toolkit is balanced around that.

Rogue has only 2 viable dps spec, please BLIZZARD buff Subtlety spec and make rogues great again.
Priests have only 1 viable dps spec which is not even near the top of DPS ladders, please BLIZZARD buff Shadow spec and make priests great again dominating the ladders.
Shadowpriests are more or less in the spot rets are asking to be.
But unlike Shadowpriests, Rets are guaranteed to attack top spots in dps ladder, just in later phase. Same case as warriors, just wait your turn to be good.
At a generous best we’ll be high mid tier or low high tier dps with Shadowmourne.
So you admit that Ret will get better automatically, without any inputs from developer side? Now you should understand why Blizzard won’t move a finger. If a problem resolves itself, why doing something to that? Think of that from business standpoint. Love for game is something long forgotten at Blizzard.
Will the class balanced around 2t10 be better with 2t10?
Am I to understand that this is the question you’re wanting to ask me?
And expect a serious answer to?
I expect only your understanding to the situation. Doing any changes in class balance will have broader impact and can cause unnecessary side issues. The other option is to not do anything and just wait for the issue to resolve itself, because it’s guaranteed to resolve itself later without any additional effort. And you should now ask the question and try to honestly answer that to yourself: which of the two you would choose in a place of a business (Blizzard)?
Good lord that’s an even worse question.
