Return of class halls

Would you want them to bring these back? In BfA there wasn’t any reason since horde and alliance were at each other’s throats but it seems the faction war is over for now.

I personally would love to see them returned in WW. They are for the most part very nice looking locations that can offer us class quests (and ofc transmog).
With all the phasing technology it would be easy for them to upgrade them with new relevant WW npc’s and events while offering us a toggle if we want to return to the Legion versions.

To me they are just wasting away anyway and it’s very much a shame imo.

Interesting you bring that up - I’ve been working on the ‘legendary campaign’ FoS atm and it has been a really nice experience - especially because it really helps me understand and appreciate my alts. They’re not just toons I switch to for the meta, they’re becoming more meaningful to me.

So yes, I fully support your suggestion! The return of class halls could help us regain that lost sense of identity and reconnect with what makes each class unique - especially now that ‘unique’ seems to be a taboo word among the current players (no mog, class/race restrictions, etc.). Sorry fellas, I’m on the complete opposite side of this: preserving that uniqueness is crucial for keeping the essence of the game alive and bringing back class halls might be one of our final options to achieve that.

They were fun in legion imo, the spec specific quests and the class halls

Yes, it’s not like we disbanded or anything. We should be able to use them still and have a class hall hearthstone or something imo. I also miss my garrison and farm but they are a bit out of the way :frowning:

I think they were appropriate for the expansion but they didn’t excite me. Don’t get me wrong it was a lovely hall and it’s still a handy way for me to go run old Naxx atm.

I loved my Garrison (even if it made me go Alliance) but I’d love proper customisable player housing. Don’t think we’ll have that any time soon.

Only thing that Class Halls did was annoy me that collectables were locked behind classes… they just mock me when I look at my uncollected list. :sob:

And then Covenants in SL made it infinitely worse… :anger:

Wouldn’t mind a Garrison 2.0, minus the gold making stuff off it back in WoD that completely killed the economy [literally made something that went for 20k in MoP to 300k in WoD]. And it can be cosmetically customised or tailored to be a class hall without differing in anything else.

There’s the Garrison Hearthstone toy.

But Blizzard of course being Blizzard.

“OK that’s Legion done, lets completely ignore class halls because everyone will be super bored of them and will be super excited for… for… What are planning this time? OH yeah Warfronts!”

“Will we be incentivizing players to go back to them after the next expansion launches?”

Everyone turns slowly to stare blankly at the new guy

I’m still missing a set that is gated behind that god awful Kyrian event.

There’s also a set of 4 Cloaks that you can only unlock per armor type your class is… so you need FOUR characters joining the Kyrians that use Cloth/Leather/Mail/Plate to unlock them after doing ALL Arena challenges.

So God damn stupid…

Yep I kinda wish for that as well. Being able to choose where to place your own little cot and be able to upgrade it with unlockable visual styles from the different races. Would be all for it.

My main source of disgruntlement (and to a degree befuddlement) regarding Class Orders is how they were just abandoned at the end of Legion.
As far as I know I’m still the head of all the Shaman on Azeroth (and perhaps beyond) but I’ve not been to my Order Hall in years (the paperwork on my desk must be a mile high).

I wish they’d introduce a storyline for every class that establishes who the Head of their order is and get a hand-over from those of us with Artifacts. Some of the Artifacts should get re-powered and handed over. Ashbringer should be in the hands of the lead Paladin and not in my alt paladins bank.

Liked when I knew Thrall as the Shaman leader, Tirion the Paladin leader, Malfurion the Druid et al.

And going forward into each new expansion every class order should be involved in the story somehow, even is it’s only to a small degree. Every expansion should have Rogues and Hunters doing some Recon missions, there should be Mages studying arcane things or Warriors fighting some folks.

Same could be said for each race too. Is Moira still head Dwarf and Velen head Draenei?

Pretty sure I just grabbed the cloaks on my main, I did have to tell the vendor to show all, including outside of my class.

Personally, I don’t understand why they were abandoned in the first place.

I know but it is essentially pointless now other than to teleport to Draenor. The other class halls are mostly in Azeroth and could still be used for future quests - they have already established that lore wise, Draenor isn’t accessible any more. The farm is cute but you can’t grow current expansion crops or anything.

Class halls feel as accessible as the Garrison to me.

They are both relics of a previous expansion.

Yes but you could re-use the class halls but not so much the garrison.

I don’t see the difference, they aren’t relevant, they are mostly stuck in an old expansion.

The class halls aren’t specifically in Legion, they’re all over the place. WoW is creating quests that bring us back to old lands - for example the blue’s quests in DF. They want to do more of that, they could give us class quests back and use the halls as a point of order. They wouldn’t really be useful for hero boards and such any more but more like a point of interest I suppose.
