Not all class halls were good. Warriors are supposed to be one of if not the most down to earth class in the game yet they got a magical golden floating castle in the sky.
They are all accessible via Legion Dalaran, which I don’t really fancy having in yet another new location personally.
Class | Class Hall | Location |
---|---|---|
Death Knight | Acherus | Floating above the Broken Shore |
Demon Hunter | The Fel Hammer | Mardum |
Druid | Dreamgrove | Val’sharah |
Evoker | - | - |
Hunter | Ebon Lodge | Highmountain |
Mage | Hall of the Guardians | Dalaran (Legion) |
Monk | Hall of the Seasons | Wandering Isle |
Paladin | Sanctum of Light | Eastern Plaguelands |
Priest | Netherlight Temple | Unknown |
Rogue | The Hall of Shadows | Dalaran (Legion) |
Warlock | Dreadscar Rift | Dreadscar Rift |
Warrior | Skyhold | Stormheim |
Maybe a combination of the best parts of Garrison from WoD, Order Halls from Legion, and Champion Halls from BfA, or whatever was called. What do you say guys?
I think: instanced player housing with crafting stations and a furniture profession.
So hahahahaha… Did you get a good look at Valadriel’s curtains??
Yeah I did lol… gawd what a noob… No wall hooks or anything… they were just hanging loose!
Never giving her a key again!
Hahaha I see what you did there.
So shall we go into your instance and see your furniture?
No. disconnects
I just like ESO player housing. You are able to make some furniture pieces or buy/earn some from achievements, even dig them up. I like filling my house full of them. I have a little crafting room. Do I use it other than that? No. I think people could use them for RP etc but I’m content in just decorating and having a home. When I play the Sims I have the most fun just making houses…
I’d like something current to do that’s class related (and we also have a new class now so they need to create a class hall for it).
Mhm! All four unlock as they count as quest reward options.
Oh for sure. I would much preferred a castle under siege from time to time or something.
I remember the shstorm when rogues got the sewers instead of ravenholdt. Hunters got a boring one too imo but they are boring in terms of class fantasy imo.
ESO was such a disappointment for me. I played it on beta and thought “hmm. Yeah. I see the potential… But…”
And it just felt so bleh. It suffered from the success of Skyrim and I think ES6 is going to give it not a death blow but a mortal wound it may never recover from.
Own / Guild - Housing When?
I think the Garrison was a bit much but the Legion class hall was/is amazing. I still go there every day I log on. Covenants in SL seem to be ok but I play these less as it’s a slog to get there and then do stuff in the area as flying is locked for far too long.
So yes, something along the lines of Class Hall would be greatly appreciated.
it would be amazing and wouldn’t hurt anyone. i wish they invest in more of stuff like that …
I really hope they will think about revisiting/updating some old stuff, we already have a lot of good things in game that could use some upgrades like Garrisons, Vissions, Class Halls.
I still visit my Garrison and Class Hall (especially as Mage) and occasionally doing missions there, upgrading my followers, etc. Class specific questlines were very fun to do, exploring the lore and getting deeper in to the class fantasy is some I love about it.
I would rather have them expand already existing old content stuff then adding half baked new things like Archivists, Storms, Reaserches… they just bloating already bloated game with unimportant things.
Orders should be Evergreen content so this would have to change. The only one that really works there is Mage and they have their own teleport spell to get there.
Rogues should probably be in Ravenholdt Manor (this was debated at the time).
Death Knights can put theirs anywhere, but back to EPL would probably be best.
Even the ones that stay where they are could use a new way to get there, a personal herathstone probably the best solution.
So Orders need a new Leaders and new ways to get there or new locations.
Yeah - I think Moonglade was like the best thing about Druids.
I don’t want them as they were in Legion exactly - closed off to anybody else, but certainly places that are themed heavily around your class and attracts your class far more than any other, and is full of quests themed around what your class is and what it does?
Yes. Absolutely. ESPECIALLY if it can be a part of the new player experience.
It gets even worse, for first pvp season pf shadowlands u have different sets of weapons for each covenant so 320 marks of honor just for one season weapons
For my Warlock, i’d really like that, for my Warrior, it’s a definite “no”.
That fel asteroid with demons was really cool, but lounging in Odyn’s bathhouse (It’s way too clean and shiny for warriors) was really off-putting.
They aren’t relevant because they’ve been left to be so.
Remember those 3 piece class sets that showed up in the trading post a few months ago?
Imagine if instead of a boring transaction, we just got a lore rich quest per class, and actually got to do some exclusive content. We get to catch up on class relevant characters and embellish the lore…
EXAMPLES
All those key death knight figures went to the shadowlands and had some experiences… Why not learn more about the Knights of the Ebon blade renewed sense of purpose since? Or even one better… We killed a lot of dragons and turned loads of them into undead mounts… Maybe instead of getting a throwaway line from Alexstrazsa that we’re forgiven, there’s a quest where we make amends with the red dragonflight in some way.
Maybe the Paladins of the Sanctum of Light are commemorating Tyrion Fordring’s passing after whoever many years, or are making some sort of progress in purging the Eastern Plaguelands…
The shamans have to discuss what on earth is going on with the Fire lord, as the current one decided to turn evil… And so forth.
You say irrelevant, I say massively missed opportunities.
They don’t have to be a key central piece of any expansion ever again. But they can be a fantastic story telling tool that helps enrich the world further. They can relate to the A plot directly, or they can be side stories that shows what is going on in other parts of the world and groups of people.
People are all different. I despair when they keep recycling content. I would rather have new player housing than regurgitated garrisons, and the same goes for Class Order Halls.
