Let all classes use cloth, leather, plate and mail armor for transmog.
In terms of reality, ppl do wear different types of clothes to look unique and get boons from it…

If anything, Transmog restrictions have been loosened over the time.
Back then, we couldn’t even mog different weapon types, now you can turn an axe into a sword or even a fist weapon when it comes to one-handers.

No, thanks. If you can not make anything original right now, does not mean it is Blizzard’s fault.
Sadly wand crap can not be transformed even into artifact weapons. I wish they will delete this type of weapon.

It’s weird how oddball the wands are.
As for my one caster alt, a mage, it’s been my favorite kind of weapon, not only that they look better than a giant stick strapped to your back, but it just feels right - to have a magic wand as a caster 
Only better caster weapon I remember was that invisible staff back in MoP, before they “fixed” it.

I like to see my weapon and I like giant sticks, also many of them look cool. There is also another issue with wands, it is almost impossible to find a matching off-hand thing.
It is not a staff, but for me this giant glaive is the best looking polearm in the game.
This is a real weapon.

Revert? I don’t remember us ever being able to mog the wrong armour type. Was that a thing?

That might take things a bit too far given that classes are pretty homogenized as it is. Making them look the same would just exasperate that.

as does my LF priest

A better idea would be to let us learn the transmogs that drops for us, whether we can equip them or not. Like being able to learn a plate helm and add it to your wardrobe, despite being on a leather character.
It’s so much better than making all classes being able to transmog all armor types regardless of whether they can equip or not. That is stupid. But if you wanna mog plate. Stormwind Guard armor from the Garrison, or the heritage armor for some of the races is there waiting for you! Also what do you mean by revert changes? When have we ever been able to transmog other armor types?

I can only see this viable for RP servers and nothing else to be honest.
Remove transmag altogether. That is the only reason why Blizzard stop making new items look decent as the previous expansions are way preferred over the new ones.
I miss the days that I saw people with Malefic Rainment and run away, they unleashed fear, success, something to appreciate. Now you do not even care how your enemy or ally looks like.
Totaly agree, they already took class sets and allowing that OP proposed will just destroy rest of class fantasy.
