Revert NERF to RAW GOLD FARMING

As of right now gold from legacy raids is nerfed more than 50% in it’s value.

All the time I wanted gold I was farming mythic legacy raids to get some of it for WoW Token, or AH mount and I would also have a chance to get a mount while doing it so it was the best thing to do.

This changes hurts casual players the most, it does not affect boosters or hardcore players.

I guess they just want us to buy WoW Tokens?

It‘s a stupid change made to stop cheaters but ruins it for everybody else. I hope they buff it again. I tested ulduar and some items had like 2g sell value, which were around 10g before.

It’s almost like they want us to be weaker and poorer at this point.

Can’t wait to see the next 5 000 000 gold vanity item they will put in SL.

Cheers.

Doesn’t it just bring it into line with the increased speed at which you’ll be able to clear the content in SL?

I did the Nighthold on mythic on my dh , before pre-patch , was killing like 30 of those mobs , 3,40 gold

I completely agree

yeah really rubs it in
can’t make raw gold because it’s nerfed
can’t made gold off of farming mats because multiboxers own every market

if you want to make gold in 2020 your only options are boosting or buying wow tokens

They can ban merge the boxers , and ban the bots ,yet they went for the raw gold !
Whoever works at blizz clearly has a lot of “brains” .

i dont know how i feel about this honestly. On one hand its a shame because that was the only way for some people to get some gold but on the other hand it will stops the botters and such to farm gold and ruin the economy. Its a win and lose in the same time.

Still making over 100k/h as a multiboxer which is completly raw gold, will never make it into the AH and will be spent on new things in Shadowlands :smirk:

Doing emissaries on Alts is an option too. Clunky though.

So how much is the damage? A full LFR run in Pandaria would net about 2k or so. So what, 1k now?

I mean we’re saving 4k per char on flying at least I suppose…I guess blizzard don’t want people instantly buying the SL gold sink without working SL content first. Maybe? So long as I have enough to fly and handle day to day expenses I’m not that bothered personally but that’s just me.

Sadly I don’t have the resources or the will to become the multiboxer.

This change hurts me a lot as a casual player who loved farming some legacy raids to get some gold and mount as well.

Now I’m forced to do other kind of content that I do not want to do for gold.

I know, it’s bad. Hopefully professions will be fun and worth the time in Shadowlands!
I wish they put more resources into banning bots (Botanica bots for example) than nerfing it for everybody who loved doing it.

Even as a multiboxer myself, i love running old raids for transmogs, mounts and that extra gold was always handy.

I honestly love some of the profession, but lately I didn’t find them as fun as I did during Legion, herbalism was one of my favorite, I would farm Starlight Roses and watch some YouTube videos

There are just too many bots in my opinion, whenever I tried talking to the player who was farming with multiple characters, they never responded, so I will just guess they were bots.

I literally did the same thing in Legion, i wasn’t multiboxing at that time…and it was perfect.

Yea, they are crazy. If you ever have time, head over to Botanica dungeon entrance and you will most likely see them running in & out.

Personally whenever i see someone getting close i make sure to say hi and ask if they need any help killing mobs for quests. Not a fan of getting reported as a bot and having to deal with support.

I feel scammed, multiboxers are preventing us from getting gold from mats, Blizzard is preventing us from getting gold from old raids, what the hell? It looks like pure change so people will buy more tokens, there are enough multiboxers to keep up token market.

Fortunately repairs lowered in price also but yeah I think it’s mostly to promote players to spend more be that tokens or accounts to mb with for multiplier to gold gains.

I think it would have been cool if they progressed the economy instead, adding platinum or something like that, using old mats and crafts to make more relevant stuff and keep things profitable… but yeah that’s not as good for token sales compared to this.

ugh

FYI, the gold nerf is a side effect of the level and itemlevel squish. It’s not an intentional nerf to stop X or to encourage buying WoW tokens, it is merely a side effect of item levels being much lower. The same reason why leveling up ends up netting you less gold too - lower ilevel items vendor for less.

While it does hurt a bit, this time it’s not a case of “fun detected”, nor that of corporate greed.

Okay they squished the stats and item levels, but why the gold? The content is even harder but rewards less gold.

Yes, and also listing prices for equipment on AH has gone up in price as well. Almost not worth listing most items anymore. You can already wait along time to sell some of these items, but not there is very little profit margin on an item that you list 4 times at 90g and might only sell for 500g.
