Reward tanks and healers more in M+

Idk I couldn’t care less about titles, are people really still that title hungry?

Not sure if warbound items would change much, maybe for people who like to play alts a lot. Crests are probably only interesting if not affected by the cap or if it’s higher tier than the key but this would probably be too unfair?
I’d take gold honestly, this would motivate me already enough.

It is an achievment, it is a reward as you play the content you like

Cool, if I invite you, 30 other players will say I am dictator not inviting them.

I disagree with the premise.

They need to make the roles less crap, then there will be more people doing them.

They were better in DF, yet, not many people played those roles

Also just the class design of tanks tends to be worse, while many dps classes are awesome and get reworked/modernized/etc. At the start I only played tanks, and had fun, but then I tried a fire mage, and now I’m a bit unhappy with the tank classes

At least I’m seeing in the patch notes that prot paladins get changed, which is nice.

Have nothing todo with rewards. Been tanking since vanilla and been doing challange mode, timed and m+ since added to the game. And tanked with all classes. And always had highest achiv from m+, so medium to top lvl.

Nr 1 reason for stop doing m+ in Tww is the players in pugs. To many toxic players and they are allowed to destroying the game,as Blizz hardly does anything about these. Add a 1 month m+/group related lockout for toxic players…

Second, to much mechanics around m+ falls on tank specially after they made rotation pure Forti/tyr. For tank it’s down to wipe on lack gear or simple failure. And still tanks need to help dps do there simple required mechanics. While most dps fails on important interrupts or stuns that kills tank. But then it’s tank “fault”, aka paper tank.
But ofc, some pugs are greate and most stuff is faceroll and hardly any cd/def is needed.

They need to add more affixes/challanges that only dps can solve. Like enter shadowed realm and dps down something solo while dodge/stay alive to some mechanics where tank/healer can not help. Where failure will result in wipe…
Take some pressure of tanks…
But it seems like Blizz just keep adding stuff that punish tank/healers gear.

As a tank it’s just to much stress, so not enjoying pushing keys anymore. And as dps, the group finding is to long. So it’s hard pass for me now days with m+.
Pr now i have 10x lvl 80, all above ilvl 600 and dodging pugs like the plague based on what i’v seen of trash dmg and boss mechanics.
And to much players trying todo stuff they don’t have skills for and only look at ilvl.

Hope they make followers M+ and increase delve levels and loot.

The current reward of much faster group finding as tank/healer has much more value than any possible ingame rewards you could ever come up with

also its fun to play healer rn

You can reward me by actually doing all you can to learn the game, being a good dps, learning the mechanics and making friends with tank and healers, rather then seeing them as tools just for your personal gain.

I am tired of being alone, i am losing my motivation to keep going, and progressively getting more depressed.

Anyway the game became progressively more anti social and they haven’t done anything to adress it, not to mention i missed out 2 years of World of Warcraft because they kept ignoring the Radeon driver issues for 2 years still ongoing for some users, luckily not for me by the looks of it, but i lost all my friends and i am not gaining any real one’s, on top of that i am having strong inner dialog in my head, conversations thoughts, rather then having conversations with people, dragging me further and further in depression.

Thanks for ignoring me Blizzard.

Help is on the way for me but months away, i am not sure if its gonna arrive on time, i cannot focus and my meds are making my head feel numb and doing nothing to keep my mind clear.

Npc1:Why are there no tanks? How about we reward them with some gold?
Npc2:How about some crests?
Npc3: how about we give them some respect?
All the npcs: reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Unfortunately, the general playerbase considers “fun” to be only the presence at a high spot on the dps meter, regardless of role. As long as tanks or healers are not focused on dpsing primarily, they will always be unpopular.

I mean heck, Augmentation was proven to be the highest contributor to a group’s damage at some point, and yet people hated playing it with some of them constantly demanding to delete it as a spec because the damage meter doesn’t show it high, and others wanting to delete it so that they are not “forced against their will” to reroll Aug.

We even have the occasional “Delete tanks and healers from the game” topics too.

We have also some posts explaining how healers are the easiest role. Yet they are still not even as 30% as popular as damage dealers.

I’m really tired of this “toxicity vs healers and tanks” argument. I see it happen in game once every blue moon, and 99% of the time it’s a perfectly valid complaint against something they did.

You know what I do see regularly? DPS being called out for dying for no reason, ninjapulling, placing the poison wave on the wrong side of the group, not interrupting, doing low DPS…

And yet everyone’s DPSing.

It is definitely a complaint, it always is. I think you know that tone and context matters, often it isn’t WHAT you say, it’s HOW you say it. It’s very easy to start an argument by being condescending to someone when they make a mistake, isn’t it? :joy:

My friend, we all have our own experiences. I truly believe you may not have encountered it. I’m happy for you. At the same time, literally yesterday evening i watch as a mate tank of mine is refused healing for himself and the whole group by the healer , in a normal dungeon i might add, as a lvl79 warrior, because , as the healer put it:
“ i don’t need to heal you in normals, why are you not using X or Y?”
All of this, while the whole group died. Then they resed, and they went for it again. Died again, same thing, same responses from the healer.
Healer got kicked after but still, stuff like this does happen more frequently.
That is just the latest example off the top of my head. I have been tanking and healing for years mate and it is a cesspool. I still like it though sometimes, but I don’t pretend there are no problems.

It really doesn’t matter in what tone you tell someone that they’re bad at the game. People just say it does but when you receive a complaint it makes zero difference how politely it was formulated.

That wasn’t valid criticism, it was a jerk being a jerk. I’m glad to see they’re present among healers nowadays, it means more people picked up the role

Obviously I can’t speak for what other healers do in M+ since I never meet them, but my gameplay is far from perfect and I still receive/witness close to none of the “supposedly frequent” toxicity people always talk about.

“I think we need to avoid the pools of bad when they come up, it’s very hard to heal through”

“Mage standing in the pools again”

Are you sure?

True, I have also been a part of some super chill groups that did their thing and were not rolling on the floor at the first sign of trouble.
I love those groups

Yeah, I’m positive. And if you think this counts as toxic then you should stay away from the Internet.

From my experience there is no shortage of healers. There is shortage of Shamans. As a priest with 2350 M+ rating, I get constantly declined even for +7 because I am not a shaman.

Ye is a bit more than just a lacking “reward”. Not only does pretty much everyone has own titles (and even names) off but also from other people. Basically it’s as rewarding as a blizzard bot whispering you “well done” after achieving something.

Make them more enjoyable and less punishing to play. That’s also a M+ design issue not just the state of said roles. Class difference/imbalance just adds on top of it. More rewards alone are not a long term solution.
