Rexxar In Desolace

Can someone explain why there is a literal Horde boss just patrolling the main road in Desolace. It’s supposed to be a mid level leveling zone.

Just got ganked by his bear, and here I thought I wouldn’t get ganked on a PVE realm.

Simply because Rexxar is a lonely hunter only accompanied by his loyal pet misha. Ofcourse he’s in the wilds.

He doesn’t attack. Horde players run and hide behind him when I hunt them in Desolace, only to realise that Rexxar doesn’t give ten shiny sh*ts about them, and lets me kill them. Or maybe Rexxar, too, fears me. I don’t know.

He may not attack, but his bear does. Especially when you’re dealing with multiple mobs.

I wasn’t aware. Haven’t had his bear attack me, either. I’ve practically sat on it multiple times.

Maybe you used some aoe that the bear didn’t like

What made you believe that?

If you see a horde boss approaching, don’t aoe other mobs on top of its bear, k?
No. They do not attack you on sight.

Neither Rexxar nor his pet are aggressive, you can walk right through them safely unless you attack.

Don’t use AOE near him… they definitely do NOT attack.

  1. I can confirm what other players are telling you: neither Rexxar nor his bear attack unless they were attacked first. If you got killed you must have done something to piss them off.
  2. High level (often lethal) mobs in low level areas are actually very common. You can find elite dragonkin around the areas where the Dragons of Nightmare spawn, Stitches in Duskwood, dragons at the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, rare named elite mobs all over the place… This has kept happening in probably every expansion. I think pretty much everyone who played TBC was killed at least once by the Fel Reaver, a level 70 elite in a level 60 area.

or by stitches in darkshire.

can’t say much i walked right into demetria the other day. and was like “oh yeah… HER”

What are you talking about? Even though he appears as a red npc(aggressive), he does not attack. I literally went close to him with my lvl 40 alliance mage to take a picture and he didn’t mind.

As a druid just dash and kite him to the nearest horde town. Thats how I (and many others) got the q done too

Oh god the horror, how the hell is such a giant robot so sneaky?! I swear it came out of nowhere!

It nerfs drawing distance untill it is right on you
