Archivist Galford and Balnazzar should have 100% drop chance, but they don’t. The prices of the orbs are through the roof, because of that discrepancy. I have reported that as a bug, but nothing is being changed for over a week.

I don’t think they were 100% in vanilla, at least not in early patches.

Post was about drop rate on vanilla, which I played but I doubt you were even born back then yet.
And before edit he wrote crusader orbs and this char has been 39 for 2 weeks or longer for now due lack of interest and rerolled.

Don’t remember it being 100% drop rate either. I do remember running them multiple times to get just 2 orbs because of bad luck.
Probably you have confused private server with vanilla. Private servers got a lot of stuff wrong.

I have never played classic private servers, so no, I don’t confuse it with them. Vanilla had 2 100% drops.
Nope, I had runs in Vanilla were not a single orb dropped.
If you are relying on WoWhead stats, don’t. At least not atm.

I tend to use the comments from wowhead, they date back to 2005-2006. Being quite reliable.

Were never 100%. Neither in vanilla nor on pservers. Pure rng. Can be 1 orb per run, and another time it’s 2nd round. Archivist and balnazar have the same chance as any other scarlet mob.
