RIO is toxic for the game in more than one way

No its not restrictive you just suck at using it!

RIO is the only reason you actually have a chance as new player to join in the fun.

Only problem with RIO is people thinking they can get carreid through everything. Nope thats not how it works.

If you as a leader cant build a proper party and communicate the goals beforehand its YOUR own fault when someone leaves.

I havent had one single guy leave in probably about 500+ keys i did in the previous 2years because if i feel like the group isnt strong or i bring my irl’s i just tell people what they can expect.

For now i know nobody who is doing +15’s around me, including myself

Raider io is not the problem here. Just leavers are. If there would be a way to show the amount of dungeons someone left it would be a great start. That way people won’t leave as often if they kniw they can risk getting declined from groups and people won’t risk accepting possible leavers whom would deplete their keys. I do not even understand why you would join a group if you are not willing to stick until the end of the run. That is a scummy thing to do considering the fact that you would waste the time of other 4 people whom are in the same group. If people could be replaced instead though it might reduce the damage still so maybe we might get some good changes in the future

That sounds a very tempting pizza what size do you go for ? I find a medium/9inch one very filling and usually save some for later .

actually, no it wouldn’t for the same reason there are no timers in Mythic raids other than enrages.

Then its the same thing its a timer to beat .
Dungeons since classic have had timers.
Vannilla Strat 45 min baron run

TBC Herioc shattered halls timed run to save prisoners.

Wotlk Culling of Strat

I could go on and on naming dungeons and timers and each raid boss apart from very few all having timers .

Your post is my view being obtuse.

You can easily top up the rio score…

If you have friends. And in this case rio’s entire existence is nullified, because you have friends to do m+ with to begin with. Rio’s entire existence is related to PUGs.

and the important thing about these things is that they were not only extremely easy to meet but also not a hard requirement for your progression.

enrage timers are different from dungeon timers as you have an ininite amount of time to prepare for them.

You cant speak sense into that poster they will argue for hours that somehow its different no point wasting your time hun.

Does not matter. Stress value is same (if you have it or not that is). You can die in M+ and still beat timer, and you can fail timer and still get rewards.

When above mentioned taunt immune Wrathion kills me and my 19 buds, I get no loot and no rewards whatseover.

Herioc shattered halls being needed for raid attunment and when current was very hard to time the same with herioc black morass in same questline far from easy .

Same as dungeons, right?

Would it make you feel better if everything in the dungeon enraged and massacred you when the timer ran out?

You dont leave a slice or 2 to eat cold for breakfast ? You cant beat it .

You can try to beat an enrage timer unlimited times without penalty.

Failing to meet a timer in a mythic+ dungeon actively reduces your key and therefore directly penalises your progression and due to io, makes it so that you will not get invited to subsequent runs if multiple timer fails are detected, it is in effect naming and shaming through the back door.
