RIO is toxic for the game in more than one way

Well atleast you know now none of us will invite you if we see you as your a known leaver so you made that clear.

oh no, i mean the fact that i just craft these days and not actually do anything.

No, successful group leader - leads and assembles a good group. You however already doom your groups with flawed logic. And I believe I would never get to your groups either because I do not care about timers, especially when I help my friends. And I am glad I wouldn’t since you and I clearly have different mindset regarding M+.

I managed to slowly work my up by starting small and gradually tackling tougher dungeons. I’m a warlock, so that’s a wee bit tougher to get into groups than a shadow priest in the PUG lyfe scene. You just need to keep working at it. I don’t think raider .io is bad, for the most part.

I don’t see the problem, you’re the one who said the timer is good and unless the leader has stated it is an untimed run then this is part of the timer mechanic.

Again, nobody cares. I have failed numerous keys in every season and I have had zero trouble getting into PUGs (I played mostly dps in the previous season, so the healer bonus didn’t apply). In my own groups, I’d rather invite someone who missed the timer but completed a +14 dungeon than someone who timed only a +7. (At least it signals that the person is not a leaver.)

That’s just a show of restraint mere mortals can’t aspire to.

Recently I’ve been adding a bit of garlic to my pizza. Opinions?

I see that as an great addition to the pizza although you must have the right amount but I would snack on yours anyday .

The Q&A mentioned that they are working on integrating the existing the Mythic Dungeon Leaderboards into the Armory. I would hardly call that ‘Blizzard’s Raider IO’, not any more than the Armory raid section is ‘Blizzard’s wowprogress’. Don’t get your hopes up.

I did say in an Q and A after blizzcon2018 i’ve no idea why you want to pick fault with me when others have said exactly the same thing in this thread but w/e i’m not going to sit there for hours googling Q and As finding the exact words for you .Sorry if you have issue with what I said take up with blizzard .

You don’t have to spend hours on anything, I did that myself in 20mins and told you exactly what was said: they are working on having the existing leaderboards show up on Armory, so you could look up a character and see that their highest Waycrest key this season was a +12 for example. That is hardly a replacement for Raider IO because the Raider IO site and the Raider IO addon provide tons of other functionality the same way wowprogress profile pages provide way more information and functionality than Armory profile pages.

I’m not sure why you are being so defensive. Several people here were mentioning that Blizzard is doing their own version of Raider io in Shadowlands. That was never stated by anyone working at Blizzard, is probably a result of people jumping to a wrong conclusion and I pointed that out to avoid further confusion. No reason for you to feel offended.

I think, something along these lines was said, i have been looking for the notes but i cant find the exact quote.

However it was mentioned and talked about somewhere during Blizzcon.

Blizzard always wants to put functionality like Rio into the game because they want to provide you with the full ‘‘experience’’ and you dont need addons to play the game (most of us play with addons regardless)

But Blizzard has been implementing a lot of stuff into the game we were using addons for or other programs.

Voice com / gearscore (or ilvl) and raidframes is now baked into the game.
With the succes of RIO and the uses it has for the community it isnt a weird idea that blizzard wants to replace that and the UI is already based around showing your best times / color coded for difficulty etc.

All it lacks basically is a ‘‘share’’ feature or that it can be viewed by others without accessing your armory.

Blizzard’s implementation isnt always as neat or workable as we would like (voice comms for example) but they try to upgrade the game like that.

Hi, last tier i cleared 6/8 in mythic raiding and regularly did +3 in +10 dungeons.

I had 452 ilvl in a tier where the highest non-warforged gear you can get is 445.

And still i had huge problems finding groups due to having a low RIO score (1200). And since i could not join higher dungeons my score didnt go up, and since my score didnt go up i could not join higher dungeons.

Its a pretty bad cycle that easily happens when people are encouraged to blindly look at a score.

Right ofc not with how you speak down to people with the "im right your wrong " attitude its really strange that so many of us apparently got it wrong ,strange that .

I better not tell you then, i join low keys from time to time +2 till like +9s back in s3 when i was running +12s - 15/16s with my main group.

Why did i join those lower keys: multitude of reasons:

  • certain mounts i am after
  • to help out the people who are maybe stuck on +6s or something
  • and to help them out. Show routes / explain “m+ tactics” etc.

It really is fun to do and gives people the experience they need for higher keys.
Afterall this game is about the online community and it never hurts to help people out.

Nah, getting one level lower key is already good enough compared to the start of Legion where you had to complete a depleted key for no reward just to activate it and then do it again.

No you can invite whatever you want just dont expect it to be intime? its literally anywhere the same.

I can also blindly invite someone to play arena with but then i shouldnt cry rating doesnt go up.

I can also blindly recruit people to my guild but then i shouldnt complain…

There are so many different levels for everyone in this game no matter if raid, m+ or pvp.

And for higher tier stuff you need better people obviously so filters are needed especially random.

They always existed. Actually RIO is the most friendly filter ever since it actually measures your achievements pretty solid and also is account wide help aswell as gear is not that important but rather skill (thats how people want it - no?) while back in the days you would get inspected from head to toes in dalaran mid or If bridge if gear, achievemnts and what not were fitting.
