So I just wanted to make a post to say how absolutely amazed I am at how having a bow fundamentally changes the way I play my rogue, I am in love with this class in Classic! With my bow I feel like some kind of stealthy hunter without a pet, I even bought a quiver! It is just incredibly useful for pulling and getting a few shots off, gouging, and then backstabbing at which point the mob is usually almost dead. Before I started leveling my rogue I didn’t think it would be a big deal having a bow, but atleast for me it makes the rogue feel like an entirely different class almost, it is so fun! Thoughts anyone?
I am enjoying the exact same thing actually Although no backstabbing for me as I’m combat.
Even large groups of mobs are easy enough as you just bow > run back a bit > bow > 3/3 imp gouge > keep running until other mobs hit leash and run back > mob comes around from gouge to see that he’s all alone toe to toe with you Not so hard now huh without all your buddies!
Rinse repeat.
The flexibility in old WoW in regards to weapon and skill tree wise is really nice. In retail for example, you are usually one of three/four specs with mostly same config. In old WoW, you can take a mage and build something quite varied. Same for rogue, hunter and so on. I loved that about old Wow and it’s nice to be able to do it again.
I had a warrior in my group bringing out his bow in Westfall to pull some mobs and the nostalgia wave hit like a truck haha. I missed things like that .
