Rogue Lockpicking

So i am leveling up an Alliance rogue and i want to level up lockpicking.

I have looked up guides but they all say i need to do the poison quest and keep abandoning it. I was wondering if there is another way of doing it.

You used to be able to gain skill-ups from certain doors, such as the Gnomeregan back door and the gate to Searing Gorge. Picking open a lock box would reset the door, allowing you to repeatedly pick the door lock. I’ve no idea if this will work in Classic though.

There are places to train your lockpicking throughout the world. Such as in the Redridge Mountains in the Lumber Mill there are 5 locked boxes which you can continually pick and they respawn back in about 10 seconds. You can use these to get your lockpicking up to about level 100 before they become grey.

if u go to the rogue trainer there is an option to ask him where u should go to train ur lockpicking further
