Hi guys, I’m a dagger rogue and I really struggle against warriors. Do you have any tips how to beat them in 1v1? I know that you can try to kite them and restealth, but it’s not that easy…I usually get them down to 20% and then they kill me with 2 hits and autoattack in 3 seconds…
Don’t use evasion cause their overpowers will proc like crazy. Warriors are a tough fight for rogue.
That’s bad advice. Evasion may make overpower proc, but it’s on a 6 second cooldown. Evasion makes you dodge 2 auto swings (possible sword specs) and a mortal strike for every overpower cooldown; one overpower crit doesn’t make up for that loss.
Also, if the warrior can’t hit you, the warrior has limitted rage gain.

Evasion vs improved overpower… there’s gonna be alot of damage.

1 overpower at 50% increased crit chance is still less damage than 6 seconds worth of autoswings, mortal strike and any other abilities.
Overpower also costs rage rather than generating it.
Also if they are using Overpower then they are in battle stance which means they can’t berserker rage your gouge off.
Overpower is on a 5 second cd and costs 5 rage. If a rogue is letting a warrior get in 2 autoswings within a 5 second window, he’s doing it wrong anyway. I haven’t played much warrior since vanilla, but back then a rogue using evasion was pretty much an auto-win for my warrior. 2 overpowers and they are dead. You get plenty of rage for those 2 overpowers if the rogue is trying to kill you.
Rage generation by getting hit by the rogue is enough, and overpower itself only cost 5 rage. But i guess thats the rogues best shot anyways 
if they don‘t use evasion, they will dodge anyways as they have high amounts of agility. even without the rogue using evasion, i could nearly use overpower on cooldown. using evasion makes u miss mortal strikes, autos and executes while not beeing in that much of a danger of eating more overpower hits.
Be a true rogue and cheat with LIP.
No chance if everything is equal.
There was this old rogue video where a rogue would fight completely naked only had the worst dagger in the game equiped. He defeated every class and every opponent purely and solely on taking control with CC. I suggest trying to find that video and perhaps observe what he’s doing and try to learn from it.
That was before DR was a thing.
That was World of Roguecraft, but is outdated due to patches and changes.
Hoi and girls ? My advice to you as a main warrior both on retail and classic but i play rogue as third char is why would you go and give them an advantage they don’t need by wanting a one on one ?
Because as a stoic yet sarcastic player, that is exactly what i wait for and i personally as an alchemist will bad manner, pvp is pvp there are NO rules.
I’ll intimidate scream shout you forcing you to use will of the forsakens, berserker rage out of the sap and and free action potion/living action potion macro giving me just the time necessary to use it and then your crowd control are history and it is then a no match , just because i make no mercy pvp is pvp.
So the solutions as a rogue and especially a forsaken you are to be a true jackal and never give anyone a fair fight! Fair fight is for people who later died, chivalry ended centuries ago !
Open them when they are already fighting, half on health ,eating, two one one them with any class but let the other open the fight, use the map layout to turn around obstacle and so the can’t charge yo uand yo ucan restealth, etc…
never give them any advantage, also there can’t be only warrior so while the warriors and a lot are hot headed and doing hk, slaughter the clothy/healers!
It may not be as fun but they will lose the battleground.
tl/dr don’t fight their way, use any bad manners, two one one them, use the map layout: you’re a rogue and a forsakens one: people should be nervous about when you’ll jump on them and frustrated not being able putting their hands on you !

Even with DR … the point still stands that he wins by controlling the fight as in CC . especially the key talent Gauge is handy to reset the fight and regen energie
No, it wasn’t with DR.
It was before DR was implemented.
For anyone not familiar with the acronym in game terminology, DR stands for Diminishing Returns. Basically a mechanism by design to limit CC chains.
Isn’t the way to use sprint then vanish?
Go 31/8/12 with ns 5 piece set bonus. If warrior is not in berserkerstance open cheapshot-gouge-kidnetshot-backstab-bacstab-renetaki-backstab-coldblood eviscerate. Should work, one of my favorite matchups. In case opponent is orc and resist stun, then go with improved expose armor.
That in general is good lock to use but wow is rng and sometimes you need to adapt.
