Rogues pick up dps at level 10?

Level 8 and I had easieser time with warrior and hunter from 1-10.

I’m hoping dual wielding and getting swords I will notice the difference?

Well, yeah, 8 levels aren’t much to go by. Just had a rogue in my gnomer group do as much (and more) with blade flurry as our warlock and mage did on packs of 3-4.

Rogues are kings at dps alongside fury warriors. Most important thing is to try keep your mainhand weapon up to date.

If you dont find/buy decent weapon, very early levels are terrible for rogue.

gouge and throw weapon are king, low lvl. U can solo elites this way even.

It certainly does get quicker and easier at lvl 10 - same for all classes tbh.

Chances are you still have a very crappy weapon. When at level 10 you get a green dagger from your rogue quests you’ll notice a considerable boost. This will get even better when you replace the dagger with a slower weapon (since slower = better for Sinister Strike, what you’ll be using for a long time to generate combo points).

The best investment of your effort as a rogue is always the main hand weapon. If you keep it up to date you’ll be fine.

For rogues it never gets easier I’m afraid. It’s gonna be a struggle from 1 to 60 even if you keep your weapons updated.

Nope. I have been leveling all the way as subtlety hemo swords/maces spec pvp, good dps, super easy to kill mobs also. Rogues have no problem at all if you know your class. Have a good day.

1-10 isnt really much to talk about. A couple of Sinister Strikes followed by a Evis, running from mob to mob.
I often dont even buy stealth until lvl 12 or something.

Unless people are slow-motion stealthing betweeen mobs trying to get Backstabs in while strafing left/rights like idiots, using Gouge as a “stunlock” for that “Rogue-Ninja-Over-Night”-feeling - 1-10 is rather easy.

Obviously past 10-12 Rogues get a small power spike due to adding another weapon/hand (dual wield) , beeing able to equip swords and using 1-2 talents.
It plains out rather fast tho.

You actually leveled as sub? Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Hemo is fine, it’s just combat is quite more convenient if your main focus is killing mobs.

they dont get good till u get poisons and cheap shot

I levelled as sub pvp daggers since that’s what I enjoy the most. Imagine actually playing a spec you dislike to get a marginal increase in leveling speed.

im doing something wrong then since im using garrote instead of cheap shot ?

Incorrect. when you get adrenaline rush you can start pulling 3 when u have both adrenaline rush+blade flurry, when blade flurry is back up you can pull 2. When u dont have any cd’s you pull 1 mob at a time until you get them back up again.
If you have a problem leveling a rogue to any degree it’s totally on you rogues are good levelers, escpecially compared to paladins and warriors.

I did mostly garrote all the way to 60. Cheap shot saves some hp and is probably better if you need 2 combo points to maintain r2 snd through the whole fight. It’s definitely not a big deal one way or the other. The one thing that truly matters is having a slow main hand weapon with a high dps number.
