Rogue's Shroud Needs to go.

Its a Powercreep to the most blatant level.

No other DPS provides such utility.

Rogue shroud is not a bonus anymore, the community perception made it into a mandatory necessity and they overshadow all other melee DPS classes in small group content, because of it.

There's no real trade-off here, they simply HAVE it as a bonus and it's on a relatively short CD.

Currently the absolute best compositions for 5 Man content ALWAYS includes at least a single Rogue and a single Demon Hunter.

Solutions:

Disable it in Ranked Content (M+)
Increase the CD in Ranked Content
Have it on a talent row.
Give more minions and monsters the "True Sight" ability against stealth.

As it stands, rogues stand above and beyond all melees in all the available content losing in absolutely nothing.

You wanna meet MY Rogue... I'm a prime example of what many would want a Rogue to play as; please don't assume that ALL Rogues are played exactly the same way.

It's more often than not the player that brings the best out of a character, than the tool-set provided for the character... or, in some way, a good use of both.

Whatever. My friends ruin my attempts to hide them with shroud almost everytime. And we use voice.

I agree like so totally ...

Rogues need to lose stealth and all abilities linked to it

Druids need to lose stealth and all abilities linked to it and 2 forms minimum

Warriors need to lose dps specs and only be protection

Demonhuntards need to lose double jump and metamorphosis and weapons

Mages need to lose all spells and become staff only melee

Warlocks need to lose gates, cookies, soulstones, and actually be like mages staff only melee

Deathknights need to lose all 1h and 2h weapon and be cloth wearing fist fighters

Priests need to lose all healing abilities and only be available as a healer class

Paladins need to lose all 1h and 2h weapons and be cloth wearing baboons

Monks need to lose everything and be eucalyptus eating pandas only

Shamans need to be only elemental and eh ... suck ... more ... then ... now (??)

Hunters need to lose all pets and abilities except freezing trap

OMG thats it! A solution to how we can make this game harder ...

I mean sarcasm a side, show us on this doll where the bad rogue touched you mmmk ... or did the rogue say bad words to you while you didnt listen and run while group was shrouded?

How about giving other classes more utility?

I feel that rogue shroud is in the same boat as DK mass grip. In M+ they are mandatory skills to bring, and are literally the only reason to bring those classes to a 5man group.

If you got rid of those signature abilities nobody would ever take those classes. So we're stuck in a situation of either always needing them or never needing them.

Of course you wouldn't, you're a lvl 20 hunter. You should be worried about leveling up instead.

Why not? Rogue have hard cc stuns insane aoe and st damage.
Dks have cr. And stong selfhealing and are able to kite well.

Other classes have stronger and better CC, several classes have AoE stuns too.
I think they should give some mandatory spell like shroud, battle rez, mass grip.. to the classes who lack of utility

Example:
Shroud can be given to feral drood
mass grip can be given to warrior tank
etc...

Or they can implement a generic talent tree for M+ (like the pvp one) with lots of utility option, that way you can adjust your setup for each dungeon/grp

Warriors can get the Chain from the Barbarian in diablo, not a grip for sure.

It is strong, but otherwise don’t see a problem with it.

Hint: invis potions!

If Rogues didn’t have Shroud, why would you take them over a DH? DKs have combat rez but so do many other classes, and compared to a monk or a paladin tank, the DK is like paper. Very slow moving paper. They are literally only used in progression raiding on fights that require grips.

Agree with op.

Its used in pugs to skip, which goes bad bc … well its a pug, there is always someone a bit too late or a tad too sleepy.

And for mythic timed its an unfair advantage.

Bad idea, shouldnt have existed to begin with.
