Roleplay Initiative - Suggestion Index and Wishlist

Hahaha, it’s a good look though. Really like your mog as well.
Also saberon are kinda neat, pretty sure we saw some slip through the portal into azeroth if i recall right.

Another big favourite is sethrak for me cause nothing beats a shady venom peddling snekk.

Sethrakk should defeinetley happend. And for lore and plot reasons… I think they too should join us on the Horde to make things interesting.

But there will always be the helm issue :confounded:

Goes without saying… that I obviously am a huge fan of your Mog too. More buff me:P
These skulls we wear are earned! trough hard battle… And murder of said Sethtraks alike!

That’s where the prism and roleplay item overhaul ideas come into play, so you get a chance to have a go at them without the busywork for the devs.
Brokers and Ethereals would be a very cool thing to spice things up for sure.

Also I’d try getting a couple friends together and use it to rp as a whacky crew of gnolls to cause some mischief around elwynn/westfall/redridge and the like, that’d be fun.

Helm issue lol.

Imagine the mog restrictions on my desired Brokers! No helm, no legs or feet, you could probably swing them having chest, shoulder and arm armour though given NPCs show they wear it.

I mean I wouldn’t care but people loathe races that can’t use mog or may have it restricted!
Solution: just give the race a truckton of customisation in the first place so your appearance is entirely up to you devoid of gear!

I even dreamed up racials for them because I’m that caught up in the idea! But I’ve make do with a permanent illusion item honestly and would definitely rename my character to incorporate it as a new identity!

To us roleplayers this issue is mute… We already know what the deal is and the why and how behind it all making sense and why not making sense too. To us though we would make it work.

But you just know that if Blizzard made these guys a playable allied race without those things. We would have forum topics piling on and on about why and how they cant use the transmogs they want due to their rig…

Its also sadly every fanboys defense for why this will never happend. Not that I am one of them! But just saying it! trying to see it from there line of sight.

True I reckon, but there’s two things I would bring up…

One being, that having the ability to look like one whilst not being able to mog them would still give you as a roleplayer the chance to incorporate them into your rp which would provide a ton of fun as is.

Two i’d say is that while some people may nag, look at ff and not having the majority of headgear work for viera or hrothgar with no announcement on when they’ll even be able to and still people enjoy playing as both a lot.

As far as rp is concerned, I’d say just getting access to the various base models would be plenty to work with to believably play as something other than the core races we got.

I for one wouldn’t oppose either of those final fantasy examples… They work over there thats true.

But they might be very controversial over here though… Although I am no excpert on that part. Lets see what replies we will get on that  (If any …!)

Naga for sure. Always liked the look of them ever since warcraft 3 when I thought (and hoped) they would be a playable faction in multiplayer, considering they seemed to have a full tech-tree in campaign.

Toss up between taunka and sethrak.

I like how the taunka have been through so much against the Scourge and their general more forceful way of dealing with shamanism.

Sethrak are just great to look at. They have a solid Loa, their own mounts and would make good allies of the Zanadalari.

Taunka and Sethrak would both be good choices.
I’d also add the Krokul/Broken to the list because I am sure some made it back to azeroth and would offer a cool alternative way to explore draenai lore.

Heck yeah. So I can actually play one instead of wearing one as a headpiece.

They’re already on the Exodar and in the Swamp of Sorrows. If you mean the updated ones from Argus, you can probably just update the existing ones to look more like them.
They’d be a good race and would have been a better choice than void elves, when you think about the rep you had to grind for.

Ogres and vrykul would both be awesome, always wanted to do more with them.

From two headed sillyness with constant back and forth banter to a viking on on steroids who’s in search for of the biggest thing to throw himself at to get the most glory and end up in odyns halls.

Ethereals all the way ^^

Would also go with arakkoa myself. The zandalari moonkin form is nice but it’s just not the same…
I’d like to actually have visuals match what I envision during rp.

Happy to see people all having future ideas in case the model changing options would be available for rp.
Diverse answers as well, really feel it would make the world feel more varied and alive to be able to play people from all over the place. Cheers ^^

Really expected someone to mention Ankoa or Jinyu…

There’s a few races as well that you try to build a good rep with to the point you ally with them officially.
On the flipside you have some you help out in a zone and probably have ties with, but they remain distant friends.

Jinyu and Hozen, Kurenai and Mag’har, Frostborn (does anyone even remember them?) and Taunka, Ankoa and Gilgoblins are all closely tied to each faction.

Minor factions which you help but never join either side would then be things like Klaxxi, Ramkahen, Kalu’ak, Order of the awakened and Outcasts, Consortium etc. and the united centaurs (post-argus) of desolace which I don’t think we ever saw again either.

Gnolls, totally Gnolls, playable on Horde (I mean they have good reason to have beef with the Alliance, given that The Kingdom of Stormwind basically stole all the original Gnoll land!

The Skeleton exists for the models, it would be a scaled down Tauren one. We know they are of higher than bestial intelligence being able to cooperate with others, and of course the incredibly erudite ‘Sayge’ of Darkmoon Faire fame. If you wanted to hang a real life cultural impetus on them, similar to Tauren or Trolls or Dwarves, then what better than Zulu and Masai culture, which in our real world alone are redolent with myths of Hyena-folk.

Racial mount would be one of those horrible old desert lions you find, nothing regal and majestic like the Alliance mount, no, one of those horrible wiry survivor types, Less Musafa, more Skarr. They would have a caste system, but where the castes were actually equal, so you’d have like your ‘Rainmakers’ (Actually what they call Hyenas in Swahili) which are your full on warrior’s, who make up the bulk of the impi (warband), your Marrowalkers, who are the diplomats such as Gnolls have them, and then the Bonespeakers, which would be their shaman types

Everything has value, nothing is useless, even in death. The tents with human faces as part of the leather? Why, any Gnoll cub who does not wake up in the morning and thank the person whose face is part of their tent gets boxed around the ears by their elders. Bones for weapons, sinews for bowstrings, skin for leather, everything has value, no one goes to waste, in life or death, something humans will never understand, and regard as barbaric and savage is actually Gnollkind showing respect to a fallen enemy, by making good use of what they left behind in death…

Totally Gnolls…I’d be all over that like a shot.

Awesome post! Fully agree gnolls would be a really fun addition to be able to roleplay as, hope they get some model updates again as well eventually.

I have always loved Gnolla myself. I am not as eloquent as you are, but I entirely supposrt your post.

I also would like to give honourable mention to Kobolds, which I find very cute. They are my favourite race in D&D games, and I know they exist in Warcraft as well, so would love to see them as a more prominent or even playable race.

As for a suggestion I have for what would be nice in the game. I would like a portable hairdresser, or perhaps even a hairdresser mount. A beauty salon would be wonderful to have in the game in fact. We have so many other possibilities, so why not this?
