Then do not release a buggy mess like this ever again. It’s like an alpha with the amount and severity of bugs. Many features are missing too. Fix it, then re-release it properly.
I was beta testing since the first wave and there are many bugs there that were known and reported since day one. Not just small bugs or interactions, but full on “where have my abilities gone?” and “why are my professions 0/0 with class abilities on the tab?” level issues.
I had my fears about this, especially with the timeline and lack of communication, and here we are with a disastrous pre-patch launch. The posts from yesterday about missing systems were a gigantic red flag too.
I have to laugh at all the people who continually argued with posters about Blizzard having an internal version of the game with fixes. “Bro, they have a version with fixes, they will release it on patch day, trust me bro, I’m a game tester bro. Why does nobody know how a beta test works, they wouldn’t update the test server with bug fixes bro kekw”. Good meme from those posters both here and on reddit.
This has all but killed my interest in playing Cataclysm, which I was really happy to experience again and give a real chance.

I’m still going to play… cause it’s my favorite expansion (Y’all hater’s can hate, I don’t care), but this pre-patch release is horrible. So far every “major” bug I submitted during the beta is still there.

I will play until my hunter is bugged and have to wait for them to fix it.
There is really no excuse for this, though. When exactly should we be expecting a fix? This is gameplay breaking stuff.
I also told the people that they will release a sht show of a build on the liveservers they argued like Beta is just there for 1-60 and small systems and they don’t fix it there but in their “shadow build” hahaha bro a Beta is a game ready to be released soon after polishing it’s just there to fix minor bugs and stresstest Servers.

Paladins that can heal themselves as prot.
Paladins that do over one Million AoE DPS while lagging their surroundings missing talents and can be also found in professions.
Gchat not working since mid beta, missing features in guild system.
Hunter not working since day 1.
Unholy dks doing 3k DPS with one ghoul on army of the dead imagine spamming those in pvp.
Level 21 to 67 in one BG !!!
Heavy exploits like reputation to exalted in 10 seconds.
Doublicating NPC’s all over stormwind like on the forbidden servers.
Broken UI elements, broken quests all over Azeroth, layering issues, mount issues.
Again Blizzard WHO THE HELL! Is the executive who told the developers to release this sht show early and told the devs to focus on other thing!!!
It’s basic Lua Scripts where values on the configs aren’t correct, who was in charge of this clusterfk !!!

Theres a thread on the NA forum saying they will have servers restart for hotfixes I think today, so maybe we can expect something of the sort tomorrow? Since they got prepatch a day earlier

Agreed. Roll back and actually give us the pre patch event before rushing cata out or just keep us in WotLK indefinitely.

There was a bug where people were getting ridiculous amounts of experience for a WSG flag cap, and even more for a win. Some people were going from level 10 to level 64~ in a single WSG.

Logged out on a character in Stranglethorn yesterday. Logged into today and she’s in the Gurubashi Arena flagged PVP to all! Are you taking the P, Blizzard?
Hearthstoned out of their and find my hearthstone has somehow been set to Tedrassil, which it never had before. Desire to play on now equals zero.
Blizzard, you should be ashamed of releasing a game in such a poor state, I don’t think I’ll be renewing my sub.

Bet it’s a feature. After all people hate Leveling in new “old zones” so badly they allow you to skip it by doing single BG xD

I bet they had a different timeline planned for Cata but once Elden Ring and FFXIV announced releases in late June - early July they brought it forward to try and have its own spotlight.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look ready for release, there were early betas during wotlk that had less problems than the current build.
Uninstall and install the game fixed it for me

Yeah its kinda buggy, and even have performance issues…
