Rolling on someone's Bis

He sure didnt mean belt?
The gloves are not bis…

Arena runs were a thing in vanilla too. Just like tribute runs using the gyroblahblahblah thing and princess runs in Maraudon.

I’m playing healing priest as well. I almost always pass on clearly dps caster gear when there is a caster that needs it. You did right by not rolling and I would do the same.

But I’ve lost so much precious spirit gear to locks and mages :sob: Still wouldn’t change my behaviour because being grouped with few inconsiderate players doesn’t mean I should become one as well. I just add good dps on friends list and invite them. Remember that its not just good tanks/healers that you should add to friends list - add good dps too.

Always need if it’s an upgrade to you. Always!

I stand corrected then. Didn’t know the +15 Agi enchant wasn’t in the game yet.
I will go for either a Peacemaker or maybe a Warmonger(That 3% hit is nothing to scoff at imo)

I mean it’s not rocket science… If you need it, you roll need.

I really don’t like it when people start reserving items before the dungeon has even started. In many cases items that you also need just as much as them.

If you say that you also will roll need on them, you’ll likely get kicked.

So the answer is simple. You ‘play the game’. Stop trying to be too nice, no one cares about you, only themselves. You keep your head down and when the item drops that you need, click need, as you have every right to.

If the loot is an upgrade for you and you didn’t agree to pass on the loot for someone else, then I see no reason why you shouldn’t have rolled need.

Make clear for the group what loot you want before you get into the instance.

Or even better solution is to go to the instances and play with the spec that youre planning to play and roll on the gear that you actually need.

Stop this madness BiS thing.

#nochanges is #nochanges, so just like in vanilla, you roll if it’s a good upgrade for you. End of story.

On top of that. Many items are almost the equivalent to BiS, so if something is really really close to your own BiS, treat it as BiS. Especially if your true BiS is some 1% dropchance thing or something. It’s a bit unfair to require you to grind that thing while a close-to-BiS just dropped for you right there.

Still doesn’t change, dal rends is 50 ap and 1% crit… if you’re at hit cap already its the best weapons to have as a hunter.

https://classic.wowhead.com/item=18725/peacemaker

Damn dude you got me, 50 ap 1% crit > 56 ap 1% crit

And it’s actually baffling how many selfish/retail mentality people are posting in this thread. The people you’re grouping with are not randoms you’ll likely never see again, they’re people you’ll probably bump into over and over again, your reputation matters, and if I had a healer roll against me on something like ban’thok sash or hands of power, that’s a great way of getting me to never group with that person again.

So now everyone has to state beforehand on what items you will want to press need. What a whole bunch of bullocks.

An upgrade is an upgrade, so needable.

If they actively asked or said ‘yo we’re after this’ then its wrong
If they dont say anything, that’s on them, I dont track other people’s BIS
If I wouldve said at the start ‘I’m after this BIS item do you agree?’ and you take it (cause I’m not joining when the answer is no) I would put you on a Blacklist personally

If you agreed to pass on it if you were the only non guildy in the run you shouldnt need, because if you disagreed they wouldnt even have took you and you wouldve wasted their groups efforts and times

Let them find out is what I say
These problems solve themselves

Rules are simple :
If its an upgrade to main spec you roll need, bis or not bis.

If its an upgrade to offspec, you ask and ONLY roll if main spec dont need it.

If some items are THAT important to certain classes duno hoj trinket etc, they should be RESERVED and that should be discussed beforehand.

Best solution is combine even if it takes more time a group which has different classes and specs, mail plate cloth leather, healing cloth dps cloth, dps plate tank plate … Stuff like that

Oh please edit that wall of text

Actually 2x BSH is the true pre-raid BiS. Especially if 15 agi isn’t in the game yet. And they are a lot easier to get. And they are still pre-raid BiS when 15 agi is available unless you are seriously low on crit but seeing we hit the cap pretty easily that is most often not the case.

But I would also roll on this if there was a chance to get the set and I didn’t have the BSH yet. “Reserving” is fine for guild runs but I would never accept that someone “reserves” an item and would never join a group like that.

Need all you like as long as it’s an improvement. If people get pist tell them they can just play with their own guild instead. At least im not going to pass for someone i will most likely never group with anyway. Specially if it’s the type of people who go to trade Chat to whine then you can be certain that you didnt want that person on your friendslist anyway.

Ah yes BSH. I only ever got 1 on my old Vanilla Hunter.
I only ever saw the other one drop once, and the Warrior took it. Because he wanted it as a Tanking weapon.
I mean…I guess, but still.

Oh man, imagine if Rogues could use Axes like they can in Retail now >.<
Even more drama.
