i was questing im a level 55 priest currently shadow going to respec holy at 60 someone whispered for me to do some BRD Arena runs so i said yes got there and there was this giddy mage going on about this Orge boss and some gloves that he dropped well after a few runs the boss turned up and the gloves dropped the mage was nearly fapping and his guild mates were too but i looked at them and thought i could use them they are good for me too but i rolled greed instead felt pressured not to roll need i went on google and looked at the loot table for these bosses and thought whats in this for me the XP is rubbish because they are skipping most of the mobs and left do you think i was right not to roll need i tell you what next time im rolling need you can stick your Bis where the sun don’t shine.
It’s probably a good idea to state what you’re after at the beginning of the dungeon to avoid potential drama.
Get Atlasloot and state what you’re after before you begin, don’t count on people to just assume, especially when they’re so intent on a drop. Yes, you’re entitled to roll, but I’d make it a concrete fact before we even began the run.
You’re angry for the wrong reasons.
Arena runs ideally provide no exp. If you werent planning on getting a specific item from it; don’t do it.
Yes that was the right thing to do. It would have been very cruel of you to need on that loot without telling the group first. There are other great healing gloves for you to get and if you want dps gear as healer you should say so before the run starts.
Yeah probably right that’s what i hate about classic wow over Vanilla in vanilla if you got invited to a dungeon you did the whole thing not repeat a little part of it over and over again.
I dunno man, arena runs are just a thing. The devs literally created a shortcut to the arena
I would’ve greeded too, no doubt about it. Doesn’t sound fair since he was specifically after it and you just happened to encounter it. But I wish to ask, which item are we talking about? I know a ogre boss - Og’thor - in the arena, but he doesn’t drop any cloth gloves. He drops a cloth belt which is pre-raid bis for mages iirc.
I think you guys have it backwards. It’s not upon each individual to state that they need loot from a dungeon, but upon the individual who can’t handle someone else rolling on the same piece of loot to “reserve” it.
I don’t care who is in the right or wrong, it’s imperative to get silly things like this out of the way before a run. It’s so much easier for all involved.
It takes like 3 minutes to get into arena. If some1 cries about arena loot, its probably some stupid kid whos used to get everything. Just let him cry.
Did UBRS today, guild run. A freshly recruited hunter rolled on a Dalrend MH that me and another rogue were after (spammed UBRS like crazy, never dropped). Of course he won it. The only reasonable thing to do is ignore said player and never ever run anything else with him/her, if gquick isnt an option
Rolling need on anything but your main spec and role w/o announcing or asking if ok is a dick move.
Depends on, u were there as healer or dps? Did he tell that hes going only for this one item? If no, well then its free to roll for everyone that can use it and its an upgrsde for them, dont feel sorry for wining a fair roll against some random dude… Of he had chance, he would do everything to get that item… If it isnt reserved, roll and make your life easier
Coming from another with both rends and I would say the hunter did nothing wrong, 1% crit, 50 ap from set and 15 agi x2 is their best weapons before raid too. Stop being salty you lost a roll.
Dal’rend is literally pre-raid BiS for Hunters.
Deal with it.
Normally I’d say something in the line of “Dal’rend is more or less BiS for Hunters, but I’d never take it over a melee-DPS”, but I’ve lost count on the number of times melee-DPS have needed on ranged weapons that I needed as well, so I really can’t be bothered.
TLDR: Talk to your group beforehand.
Except 15 agi isn’t in the game, meaning peacemaker is better? If you take dal’rends from a warrior/rogue you’re just kind of a douchebag, simple as that.
This also goes for people taking other’s bis loot, like a healer taking ban’thok sash or a hunter taking hand of justice. Even if it’s an upgrade for you, consider how long you’re going to be using an item/how good it is for you, compared to whoever you’re rolling against.
You accepted an invite to do BRD arena runs and you’re salty you did BRD arena runs? Do you want a sub refund or something? Why is this on the forums?
I like that RNG part of the game.
Just roll need on what’s relevant upgrade for you, including BiS ofc…
