Round of Applause

Well done blizzard. The Shadowlands (from what ive seen so far) is gorgeous, the launch was smooth as silk and the storylines shocking, engrossing and inticing.

After the disasters that was bfa I think this xpac is gonna turn things around.

Thank you.

So this was the launch, where I have to eat my hat and fall off my chair…

Most smooth launch ever on Ravencrest, there were 30 seconds of dead silence as we waited for the NPC to show, scared if the server would crash, but it went flawlessly. The effect of starting in the Maw and then get sent to Bastion… Wauw! Its so amazing!
Can’t wait to get home and game some more later :star_struck:

I agree, I was terrified of the launch, I set my game to low graphics and braced myself for lag and dcs.

And then… nothing happened!

This is the smoothest launch during my playing history, I was astonished!

Can’t wait to get back home to continue!

Same here, I was absolutely engrossed last night. Also can’t wait to be done with work and play again!

I enjoyed it very much too. I had a few Barbarella/Flash Gordon flash backs in Bastion though

Totally agree. Smooth launch, no dc or lag, everyone in SW talking - wish I’d taken a screenshot of it now. I’m in Bastion with the traditional kill x amount and find Pelagos so far, but have to say the art team have done it again- absolutely stunning visuals, hats off to them

Whats the matter with you guys?! Dont you know the proper WoW forum etiquette? Blame Evil Blizzard. Everything sux, I quit and etc.
So stop clowning around and critisise Wow or Blizz already!

I genuinely thought the forum would be full of complaints today, but hey ho.

Same, I don’t yet have an SSD (one ordered but not yet here) so I was dreading when the clock turned in Org…then it just did, Darion popped up, and I headed into the Maw after a loading screen wait no different to my initial loads in places like Boralus (maybe 10-12 sec?) and the gameplay itself was as smooth as butter. No lag, no DC.

Very impressed by how smooth that transition was especially given Org AD was absolutely heaving when the clock turned last night. I expected some kind of backlash due to the volume of people, but there was nothing. Heck it was smoother than how my machine handles a world boss in Icecrown!

I agree, very smooth launch. The only lag for me was in Orgrimmar when we were stacked waiting for the npc to spawn (maybe next launch spread these in all major cities to resolve this minor issue).
The phasing in the Maw and Bastion (how far i’ve gotten until i’ve went to bed, lvl 54 ding  ) was really great, not too many or too low number of players. So very gg on the phasing Blizz.

Now gotta get to max and check out the systems “final” forms.

I decided to start the expansion on a low pop realm instead of Draenor, specially after seeing some people complain of lag a couple of hours earlier. I’m really surprised at how well it went.

Haha!

Such a welcome change isn’t it?
They deserve the praise, they must’ve worked really hard for this one.

Spoke a bit too soon now that one of the early quests is bugged on all realms and you can’t do anything to progress.

I’m well past that quest myself but it seems things are about to get pretty negative around here.

EDIT: Although people are saying it’s working again now as soon as I said this.

They fixed it right away.

Just seen that- is it the ‘Aid Disciple Helene’ one??

Yep, greatest thing is I don’t ever have to do Tol Dagor or Shrine of Storm on my main again.
