While i barely or don’t RP myself i do like myself abit of experimenting, theorizing and what not and find ways to draw people into the little RP that i do how bad it may end up or be so lets share ideas and concepts more aimed at the RP itself rather then your character.
here is an idea from myself.
Idea 1
RP and PvE content.
While i prefer to use cooking and what not in my RP i also like to
add playing the game and incorperate it into RP with various homebrewed systems.
For example, standing system.
When someone or a group does a World Quest in Zandalar within my presence that involves dealing with enemies of the trolls you get a +1, however pranking the druids and killing them would give a -1 much like the rep system but its more flexible.
But what would you like to share with us and test?
Saurfang has his own definition of honour, his own decision - the one he takes, in his mind is defined as honourable as he places his honour above all else. The opposite decision or path is ultimately deemed dishonourable through Saurfangs’ line of thought. It is why he’s so quick to accuse others flaws.
It would be very entertaining to see a large multi-guild military style community under a group of people whose sole goal is to work together over on the blue side against the horrible reds.
There’s been countless of ‘communities’ through history of argent dawn that have collapsed from bruised egos. On both of the factional sides. But looking forward we can only hope for the best on the other side.
Edit: by no means is it an easy task to keep such a community up. But the existence of o e could definitely be beneficial for organising cross faction skirmishes.
I think you’d be better off herding cats that contracted rabies than getting every self-titled pillar of the Alliance community into one Discord and have them play nice vs. the Reds.
I like Noir/Mystery stories so I try to do something like that with my RP and in a way that I can involve other characters/players.
For example my character is looking for her Father although she has almost no clue where to look. This presented an opportunity for someone else I was RP’ing with to do a bit of digging themselves and give me a lead that led me halfway across the Eastern Kingdom.
Things got quite complicated when I discovered the village where the clue originated from had an Alliance squad there as well [I RP as a crook] so I had to search for my clue discreetly but ended up staying there so long that the person who I RP’ed with earlier [who’s an Orc] had to come looking for me and almost ended up in trouble because of it.
I like doing things like that, even though my quest never got resolved I think it also followed proper dramatic structure which I think was fun for my friend too. I think creating stories like that involving other people would be really fun, my example admittedly probably wasn’t too good so I’ll try to think of something else.
Ok I had this idea a while back but what if you and another RP’er are doing a murder mystery, the person you’re RP’ing with is a killer and you’re trying to solve the crimes to catch him.
But then the person you’re RP’ing with realizes you’re trying to catch him/her so then they start trying to stop you so now you have to stop the killer before he/she catches you.
