Sign-ups – CLOSED

With four groups, we are open to ~50 players. Many spots have been filled by those of the Assembly, but there are a few left!

As this is an Assembly of Dusk campaign, slots will be opened to those of that community first. Not part of the Assembly yet? No problem! Check out our forum thread - you do not need to be a Void user at all to become part of the madness (hehe).

See you all there. The last Assembly of Dusk campaign was fantastic and the zombies are very much looking forward to this one.

Missives are being sent out to the Assembly (and/or allies).

To whom it may concern,

There has been a development according to one of my contacts in Telogrus. While we must remain careful to confirm these suspicions, it’s likely that Stranglethorn does play an important role for the Shadowguard’s plans and that the sickness mentioned at the previous Assembly may tie into it.
For now, I would ask you to prepare your equipment for a small excursion into Stranglethorn in the new year. Further details will come once the suspicions have been confirmed.

It should go without saying that you must keep this information to yourselves unless we risk alerting the enemy.

Signed,
Vasaar Duskfield

The campaign starts this week, here are the OOC details!

Event One - “Investigating the Anomalies”

When: Friday, 10th of January @ 8:00PM (server time)
Location: Outside Fort Livingston in Northern Stranglethorn

IC

To those who offered their aid against the Shadowguard,

Telogrus’ investigations have born fruit and can confirm the Shadowguard activity in Stranglethorn Vale.
Recently, there have been Void anomalies throughout the area and they believe that our enemy is planning something big in the jungle.
Please make your way to Stranglethorn this coming Friday where we shall convene outside Fort Livingston, situated near the ‘centre’ of the region between Booty Bay and Zul’Gurub.

Until we meet then, stay safe and be wary of the shadows,
Vasaar Duskfield

The campaign starts tomorrow and there are some fun twists coming your way!

Campaign mechanics (optional)

These are entirely optional mechanics to enhance your RP while we move into the treacherous jungles of Stranglethorn. By all means, do not feel forced to join if you are uncomfortable with it.

The Shadowblood Plague

The Shadowblood Plague spreads steadily throughout Stranglethorn and being injured by the enemy risks infection. As long as the mysterious source of this new plague exists, it is impossible to fully cleanse it from one’s body.

There are three stages of infection that will affect someone’s health (to simplify it, we’ll use ‘stacks’). It is possible to take away a stack from someone by administrating proper medical aid (cleansing, and only once per day) but impossible to fully remove it.

Light infection (1 stack) You experience a light fever. You have a cough as well, but it’s more of an annoyance than actually debilitating.

Mild infection (2 stacks) You experience a mild fever. The cough persists, but now more symptoms have begun to show. Loss of taste, general fatigue, and a sore throat make the infection anything but a pleasant experience.

Serious infection (3 stacks) You experience a severe fever. On top of all the previous symptoms, there’s a shortness of breath and your body aches - particularly the joints. In rare cases, you may even throw up.

Assassins in the Night

Shadowguard Assassins harass their enemies from the shadows of the jungle. As the combined forces of the Assembly make further progress to thwart their plans, they will strike during the night.

After each of the first three events, roll a d100 to see whether you are targeted by an assassination attempt and as result get injured. After each event it becomes much more dangerous in the jungle and the thresholds are increased.

Threshold event 1, 10+ to be safe.
Threshold event 2, 20+ to be safe.
Threshold event 3, 30+ to be safe.

If your character is masc you instantly get serious infection. Can only be cleansed with OJ and lying in bed for 3 days straight.
