Signups are now frozen; I won’t be accepting either Horde or Alliance guilds from this point onwards.
Guilds are still free to show up for camp RP and the like, or just host their PVE events.

Sign ups were closed quite a while back, and with the high numbers that’s it for the RPPvP side of things.

If you’re not on the list please don’t get your hopes up!

I’d even advise that the organiser remove this, for the sake of their own sanity. Who knows how this rule might be exploited.

Hello everyone.
I apologise for the silence in the thread since signups closed. I’ve had to do a lot of thinking, and I’ve decided there’s very little shame in just being honest about things.

Unfortunately, the Rumble will not be going ahead. I’m extremely sorry to everyone who was excited for this, and many of the people - some close friends included - who I feel I’ve let down with this decision.

I think I was far, far too ambitious in this campaign. It’s my first, after all, and even without a PVE element, I think I definitely bit off more than I can chew. It’s kind of the equivalent of learning to run before you can walk, I suppose - particularly with this number of signups, and this many people involved. Not even counting the people who likely haven’t signed up at all, this is far, far more people than I feel I can comfortably handle, even with help, for a first campaign.

That, and hosting a campaign is a stressful affair. I’m not going to get into the details, but like most people, I want to avoid the amount that’ll come, particularly when I don’t think I’ll be able to handle it particularly well. I’ve mentioned this to a few people, and while I’m extremely grateful to everyone who’s offered to help, I think it’s more important that I learn how to walk before I try to hit the ground running; particularly with something of this size.

It sucks having to make this decision, but just as I don’t feel any shame in being honest, I don’t feel any shame in being realistic with myself either. I’m mostly just very, very sorry to have promised something like this, then had to back out because I wasn’t realistic with myself.

I won’t be abandoning all that I’ve planned out - of course not. But it’s postproned until further notice, and I’ll be revisiting it when I feel I have the experience and ability to host a campaign on this scale.

Again, I apologise to everyone who was excited for this, and everyone that I’ve disappointed. I overestimated myself, and wasn’t realistic in my expectations both of myself, and in this campaign.

Of course, it is your decision and I respect that if you are not comfortable hosting it… Completely understandable considering the amount of people that signed up and it does show the eagerness to do event and RP PVP in the community of WoW.

However, maybe in the far future you will gain that confidence to try host this one again or maybe another one with less numbers if you so feel that is needed.

I wish you luck in anymore ideas you may have for the community. Your thoughts and even effort for trying to make this happen is highly appreciated and thank-you.

The First Empire has plans to be around the area at the original campaign date, so one might definitely throw together some jungle warfare action!
