RP Realms Names - Classic

Can blizzard finally start banning people with names not compliant with RP realm rules?
A lot of those around lately, reports seem to do nothing, thanks.

Blizzard have always been terrible around enforcing RP rules on RP servers. Unfortunately, all the HC players have now targeted the only RP-PVE server as their home. Might get better if and when they do release official HC servers.

Unless they are flagrant non-RP names Blizzard will not force-change them.

Even then it’s still 50/50 that they will. All you can do is keep reporting them.

Some very bad ones from 2019 still around. Blizz do not a thing :frowning: Only to politcally uncorrect, not to non RP names. Sad story.

What exactly are the rules? Enlighten me and I will start reporting on my character there.

No real world names stuck together like MartinLuther. No name with title like PrinceJohn. No name like Ipwnu, Bestmage, suchlike.
No name with naughty body parts. No epithets, no racial or other slurs (no examples - I not like banned)
In short one “real” (fantasy) name.

Edit to add official words:

Additional Rules for Role Playing Realms

World of Warcraft Role Play (RP) realms are intended to provide players with an added level of immersion in the game world and must avoid being disruptive to the world. Examples of common unacceptable or disruptive RP names include (but are not limited to

Non-medieval or non-fantasy names (For example: Slipnslide, Robotman, Discoinferno)
Names that reference well known people, characters, brands, places, or icons (For example: Britneyspears, Austinpowers, Mcdonalds, Georgewashington, Newyork)
Names that consist of multiple words (For example: Inyourface, Welovebeef, Howareyou, Sixtyseventy)

Celebras is also a RP Pve realm so there is two.

this has been updated last year and is still in effect: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/13923

Player is disrupting RP activities

They should enforce at least one rename, as that is the minimum decency to be expected for paying customers.

Or do they want to just to focus on banning HC griefers without considering all of this?

The rules are for everyone, so if they start making plain sight exceptions like these then players will find alternative ways to be disruptive of others game, since “they are even not sanctioned”.
