My point is where that occurs, that’s something to be levelled at individuals, not the community. The PCU community contains over 200 members last I checked. Tarnishing them all with the same brush is not fair, in the same way assuming skirt mogs = erp desires isn’t fair.
I’ve been candid in many other posts, there are some areas I fundementally disagree with some of the PCU. My stance on OOCers is probably more liberal than many of them for example. And whilst I detest ERP and it can go burn for eternaity as far as I care, I’m not interested in actively hunting it down or the like so much as going out of my way to try and locate it.
This comment actually works nicely in this thread, because a common complaint is “not all OOCers do that, why do you hate us all?” and the same logic applies here. Maybe it explains why there’s scepticism about the PCU. I do know they have a strong sense of camaraderie so even if they personally disagree with the view of a fellow member, if someone attacks that member they will defend them.
I dunno I could be talking whizz at point, just to make it clear, I don’t support unfounded accusations of ERP either and that is not something I think is necessarily healthy - I allude to my comment about “providing a based service does not make one immune to criticism”. If someone has been on the end of such accusations then I can understand why they’d take a jaded view. It’s not my place to comment further as I don’t know the situation nor am part of the PCU community and they are more than capable of speaking for themselves.
PCU can act exclusive / refuse to interact with certain players and guilds.
Then again there’s always a core reason behind that. Usually, the player/guild is known for less-than-stellar RP etiquette (god-emoting, mary sues, OOC drama freaks) or ERP/Erotic content (I don’t interact with anyone who’s got boob or butt description in their TRP - Telltale sign of low quality).
And again, these ARE NOT the standards I would like to see enforced on RP servers. These standards work good to sort the good from the bad, but the rule enforcement most of us wish for is even more basic and mostly aimed to repel OOCers.
Though … banning some ERPers and cleaning up Goldshire would be welcome
We’re pretty chilled tbh, we’re just here to have fun & sip a few brewskis with the boys. Occasionally laugh at the odd conspiracy stories that are whipped up, crucify a nonce etc…
And ive never heard of you until so whats your point if any you are trying to make ? your PCU memebers are not all angels and need to read before assuming things that’s the point .
They jump in to fast and give to much abuse its the action of thugs and not adults to behaive like that calling foul names and curseing we are meant to be adults in the game .
As officers you are expected to try and keep them in line and act fairly nicely or do you support name calling and harrasement is that what you are saying ?
