We did it! We got the list stickied to the top of the forum. Thanks for all the upvotes and sticky requests..

Greetings all!

There's a lot of Roleplay Guilds floating around in the new Moonglade/TheSha'tar/SteamwheedleCartel connected realm! If you find yourself in this thread, chances are you'd like to know more about the guilds that make up this great Sha'glade Cartel community.

I'll be around actively for years to come, so I'll do my best to keep this thread running! It's in the best interest of the community if people can manage to find their way to the guild that best suits their interests, after all.

For new RPers seeking to join the community, I would also advise you to consider joining the following two channels if you are Horde (using /join <channelname>):
RPSocial: The active channel where the RP community stays in touch to talk about anything.
RPNetwork: The place just for finding and organizing RP.
For the Alliance (I believe) the channel to join is:
LookingForRP and/or OMGRP. I am not sure which one is most active at the moment.

If you wish your guild added to the list, please submit the information in a structure sort of like this template, but feel free to add more, less, or different information as well:

I know it's difficult, but please do keep the information short! This is the place for people to see which guilds are around and what they are about, but active recruitment is best kept to personal contact or in actual recruitment threads for your guild. :)

I'll do my best to keep the info in here updated and poke around from time to time to see if guilds on the list are still operational. Feel free to post here whenever I should update your guild's info, such as when new officers get promoted or websites change.

I do not have much contact with the Alliance. If someone wants to be the one to poke around there for active guilds to add to the thread, it would be welcome.

Sha'glade Cartel Guilds!
For fairness sake, I'll keep guild order alphabetical.

For contacting these guilds, remember that sometimes you'll have to add -Moonglade, -TheSha'tar or -SteamwheedleCartel after a character name, depending on what server they are on.
An easy way for you to see who is online in the guild you wish to contact is the "/who <Guild Name>" command. If I type /who Bloodroar Army, for example, I would get a list of all the people online in that (fictional) guild, so I can easily whisper them.

Convocation of Elrendar

Short description: A Sin'dorei-focused organization, initially formed to acquire relics. Having gone through many iterations, it is currently a self-financed response team, responsible for pushing Quel'thalas' interests across Azeroth. Beholden to the Sunfury Spire with ties to The Reliquary.

Restrictions: Technically open to all races, but there is a strong Sin'dorei focus. Blood Elves highly recommended.

Crimson Sun Brigade

Short description: Neutral paramilitary group that protects Azeroth. We are also available to hire for missions when applicable.

The Beastmaw Warband

Short description: The Beastmaw is a hunter-themed Horde Warband focusing on storylines that involve light military RP, training beasts of war, and adventurous expeditions around the world.

The Contingency

Short description: A small investigative guild that focuses on high immersion roleplay and personal plot development.

Short description: The guild is focused on helping and teaching those that wish to use the darker ways of magic, like fel and shadow, without being a danger.

Alliance Guilds!

Defenders of Azeroth
Who to contact: Vyune, Anuvion, Ödin
Short description: We are a casual RP+Raiding guild. Sometimes we combine it and do dungeon/raid content IC. Our /g is OOC, /o is IC. We have occasional RP events and would love for the RP aspect of the guild to grow. The guild is mostly for people who like to raid/do content together, but also want to RP from time to time.

Redemptio Coronae

Short description: Was started by Nouala Ravenwind and Blueleaff Moonsong as a response to the lack of qualified doctors due to most of the Alliance doctors serving at the battlefronts. The doctors of Redemptio Coronae try to fill that need by bringing healing to the peoples. Redemptio Coronae also has a corps of guards to safeguard the doctors as they work.

Refuge of the Lost
Who to contact: Dieven/Stutter (owner), Ramerstin, Lillindra, Mikeljaeden
Short description: Refuge is a peaceful guild dedicated to helping victims of the wars. Whether you have lost your home, family or livelihood Refuge will be there to give you shelter and a purpose again.
Restrictions: All levels/classes/races are welcome. All we ask is you are a 'peaceful' player.
Other Info: While offering peaceful, social, family, friendly RP, our RP base is Lor'Danel in Darkshore does have a small 'village militia'.

The Mithril Guard
Who to contact: Finna-Moonglade
Short description: After a period of lesser activity we're in need of more people! We're a dwarven only RP guild, a good place for dwarves to stay and serving as militia when needed.

The Night Gryphon

Short Description: The Night Gryphon is a group fighting for the Alliance under the command of sir Dalathar Locke, we hold ties to SI:7 and aim to defend the citizens of the Alliance by any means neccesary. Anybody is welcome.

A Channel to add to the list from SWC side is
'LookingForRP'
Pretty much what it says on the tin, General Chit-chat, and ways of finding Each other. It's been quiet (Like most of the realms) since the start of MoP. But i thought it was worth a mention.

If memory serves this goes for both Horde and Alliance. I'm not 100% sure about Horde, I only have the one alt on that side.

Bumping this up so it's more visible. I'd like to say kudos to Anroka, too. She's put a ton of effort into bringing us together and laying the groundwork before the connection happened.

The Lakeshire Township

Who to Contact: Carlousxzan
Where: Lakeshire, Redridge Mountains.
Short Description: The township is committed to creating a RP community around the area of Lakeshire and Redridge. In the guild we re-create town life (but often around the Inn namely "The Everstill Arms". The Guild was very active two years ago and we held many events such as markets, balls and much more. Hopefully we can give Alliance RP a kick up the bum and get it back to how it was.
Other Infomation: New RPers are most welcome to learn the ropes and will undergo tests at certain points to check upon improvement. MyRolePlay and GHI Items addons are recommended as they play a part in our Roleplay. No restrictions on anything but Human/Worgan in Human form is most recommended. Death Knights are welcome but again normal classes are recommended.

Excellent! Thanks for everyone that helped it along. I'll do my best to keep things active!

As a side note, do please keep your posts short. If you find the entry of your guild to be larger than the others, it's a good sign it's not that great of a summary. Consider making a recruitment thread to guide people to, with a lot more info to give them! :D

I know it's terribly tough to summarize your guild in only a line or two.

Short Description: The violet shroud is a group fighting for the Alliance under the pay of a figure in Dalaran known as The Professor. The goal is to end any major threats before they can arise, and maintain the safety of our people. All are welcome.

The Blue Hand
Who to contact: Who are in charge of your guild's recruitment/public relations?
Short description: What is your guild about? Keep it short please.
Restrictions/Requirements: No restrictions. All classes and races welcome, so long as they follow the general concept of the guild.
Simple Description: A mercenary faction, who serves the Alliance, and the good of Azeroth. Many members are likely to serve the Light in their own away. The faction comprises of 'hands', groups of five people with strong abilities in different areas. Death Knights have also been members of the Blue Hand, and, despite being undead, have not been cast away. It is likely for them to be seen in any town or city, across Azeroth, so long as it welcomes the Alliance.

Many guilds forming these days it seems like. Good to see the list of Alliance guilds growing. I've added all suitable entrees to the list. :)

Do remember to keep it short and informative! I may have to shorten things if people post huge blobs of text for recruitment.

On another note, I'll see about contacting all the guilds on the list in a few months, to see if they are yet active. Can't have this thread become a graveyard of guilds that aren't really around anymore, of course.

The Shath'uull - Alliance

Who to contact: Gundrich

Short description: Formed in the wake of the Twilight Hammer's failure and the destruction of Deathwing, the Shath'uull - a vision of the enigmatic and mysterious figure known only as 'the Prophet' - seeks to succeed where the Twilight's Hammer failed by bringing about the propheciesed 'Nightfall' and subsequent rise of the Dread Elders.

Racial Restrictions: All races are welcome. Though a solid reason must be provided as to why a Draenei would seek to join such an order.

Class Restrictions: All classes are welcome. Though a solid reason must be provided as to why a Paladin would seek to join such an order.

Requirements: A level of knowledge regarding the Lore surrounding the Dread Elders/Old Gods. Further knowledge regarding their minions, the Elemental Lords and the Twilight's Hammer would be welcome but not necessary.

Other Info: I plan/hope to form a cross-faction community around this guild referred to as 'The Flock', a cross-faction community of individuals faithful to the Dread Elders within both the Horde and the Alliance who will act as the Shath'uull's eyes, ears and - when the need arises - blade.
