Which implies not just implementing solo queue, but also removing LFG and the ability to make our own groups manually. That is something that will never happen.
I can see a solo queue happen at some point, which will fail miserably and then get buffed to keep it alive and incentivize players to use it (ie a bag of gold etc for joining as healer for example)
Besides, Blizzard has already stated that there are currently no plans at all for making a solo queue, so that is patches, if not expansions, away.
Has anyone actually got this survey? or is it another hoax? why would they send one out 11days after saying this:-
Any plans for updates to Mythic+? Solo queue?
There’s no plans to implement a solo queue. The concerns still remain about random matchmaking for a system with a chance of failure being a mismatch that leads to frustration and toxicity. Ideally, they want to focus on improving the group finder so players can find others with similar goals.
Mythic+ in general is now thought of as a season over season system rather than an expansion over expansion system. The learnings and philosophy is evolving each Season rather than waiting for a new expansion to implement changes.
I just can not see it, hopefully one of you all can confirm the survey.
Neither can I but theres quite a few people throwing tantrums about wanting solo queue, coming up with ridiculous ideas and solutions and when those get shot down going “well we can just tune solo queue lower”, “extra rewards can be added” or my favorite “solo queue should have access to lust and Cr for free even without having the required classes”.
No it isn’t. With the current system you see the players you invite.
Imagine someone does solo queue and gets me on my VDH and you on your Rogue. No sane person would invite those two.
I already don’t risk my key joining groups but those players see my score and know I’m a Guardian. Some healers won’t like healing Guardians, I’ve had keyholders ask what healer I want.
I feel pretty confident that an automated queue system for Mythic+ up to a +10 will eventually happen.
Because it’s the obvious solution to the accessibility issue that the current manual LFG system has.
And Mythic+ with all its fancy rewards is a system for the masses, so the accessibility of it also has to accommodate the masses. And right now it doesn’t.
I’m mostly perplexed that Blizzard have not already implemented an automated queue system. It feels ridiculously overdue at this point and I can only imagine how many players have quit WoW out of frustration of being declined in LFG for hours upon hours every week.
If I were a business leader at Blizzard and I had any clue about how World of Warcraft actually functioned and the state of the design as it pertains to Mythic+, I would be screaming the heads off of the designers to work overtime on getting such a queue system up and running yesterday.
It boggles the mind how Blizzard can look at a major part of their game where many players have an experience that boils down to getting rejected from groups over and over for long periods at a time, every day, every week, and be fine with the design they’ve put together.
They’re absolute amateurs about this. And the fact they need to send out a survey shows complete lack of spine and leadership from the developers themselves that they can’t dissect what’s not working and how to fix it. It’s 2025. Grouping in multiplayer games is not exactly a new frontier.
Automated queueing will happen though. And likely as Blizzard tends to say: Soon™.
if sorting method would be most basic like by score alone when if i qued my rogue it would automaticly put me in +2 keys as i have 0 score on it.
if you play dvelves you notice that there are itlv recomendations there - its most logical that solo que for m+ woudl use those 2
i belive that people who ask for solo que for even know what they are asking for as without a doube there will be "locks " and "gates " there prevending you from quing for difficulty X if you dont have itlv Y and score Z deemed nessesary by blizzard to join those.
An automated queue system can put groups together based on the exact same parameters that people currently do in the LFG system.
Plus, the fact that an automated queue system can get groups together much faster than the current LFG system can, means that the repercussions of a failed group are greatly diminished. You just queue again and have another go!
People get upset today because if a group fails it means going back to the LFG system and spending ages getting declined in a hopeless search for a new group.
It’s just better with an automated queue system. It’s what’s modern in gaming, it’s what’s expected by gamers in 2025, and it’s what every single online multiplayer game with any PvE or PvP grouping activity has.
if i had more time to play wow - and more desire i woudl totaly play it - i would be absolutely awefull while playing but i would play
what i wouldnt do is i wouldnt complain if people left my keys due to me underperforming
hell - if the set for rogue woudl be liek really cool and avesome i would be runing it though dvelves and like 1 m+ a week - but i didnt like even a single rogue set this expansion .
my goal for this season is to cpmplete hc and mythic transmogs for hunter pala dh monk and warrior . and maybe maybe transmogs for my dk and lock . rest is just meh
