the quests are pretty much the same boring slog “kill X people” “Collect Y grass”

This has been a thing in every single MMO since the creation of the genre.

Each day I set myself a particular challenge and then close the game when I have acheieved it. I guess I rush cus I have plenty of other things I want to be getting on with in my life. I only ever level characters to cap and then start with another. So endgame doesn’t interest me. Neither does questing… so funny that.

GW2 is an amazing MMO. I’ve had many years of entertainment with that. However, it is still built around the same structure of questing, as any other MMO out there.

GW2 took the areas quests that Rift started introduced to MMOs back in the day. WoW and the developers take their time to apply things that work in other MMOs into WoW. GW2 flight mechanics for example, it took them a while to get that added

GW2 has plenty quests that break out of the norm, I’d even dare say the majority is not your usual kill x quest. So lumping it together with other MMORPG’s does it -great- injustice.

There were some interesting & fun quests, which you’re correct are out of the norm typical quests in WoW. But those generic style quest are still there and are in greater normal, that those unique quests.

But hopefully Blizzard may start to hire new and experienced individuals, who can think up interesting ideas of quests, instead of “go and collect 12 flowers”.

i am not complaining. It is probably more constructive to reply in topics where people complain about nothing to do than making another topic about it?

I had in early access already 3 chars of max level. I feel like i am allowed to answer here in this topic. I feel like this topic is for me. But i have enough to do still in game.

why are ppl rushing to endgame?

To get WoW burnout and then complain that the game is dead or something similar.
